Depending on the number of instances and your DAW they eventually have diminishing returns which is why u-he for instance makes it configurable per instance.

Small feature request/tweak: the Tal User Presets get saved to a subfolder in "AppData\Roaming\" in Windows. I'm venturing to guess a lot of people aren't going to backing up this folder compared to the more common Documents folder. I'd like to request that User Presets get stored in Documents\ToguAudioLine\[synthname] to help make sure that any user created content is where Windows and other backup software expects them to be. Just as a best practice IMO. The factory presets can still go to the current location, or if it's easier to have them in one place, then Documents too. I think it's just cleaner and more commonplace.

The SC page seems a lot like the Osc Timmer panel in Diva, and while that doesn't have any button to randomize everything, it does have a simple 'global osc drift' knob that detunes everything, which is often much easier / faster to use then manually de-tuning every voice for every oscillator.Reefius wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 11:48 am It would be cool if the SC screen had a 'Random' button to randomize all the knobs. Preferably with a knob next to it to set the amount of randomization.
A 'randomize' button would only be useful if there were also controls for the range of randomization, so very quickly that becomes a multi-knob solution. I think the simple global-osc drift knob is a better implementation for basically the same result.

This is sorta neither here nor there, but why hasn't Patrick added the release of the J-8 to his main-page / news page of the TAL site? Seems like it should be the top-billed item!

Probably just doing a bit of a "soft launch" to identify and iron out any remaining bugs. The current version is still listed as a release candidate.mholloway wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:11 pm This is sorta neither here nor there, but why hasn't Patrick added the release of the J-8 to his main-page / news page of the TAL site?
