I like it, but it's maybe showing its age a bit, and there are some bugs which haven't been fixed and AFAIK show no signs of being fixed in the near future (if ever). It's a very *gritty* synth, one of the most gritty I've heard.

you can run 32 bit apps on 64 bit versions of both. It’s a run once installer so not an issue.
It sounds very good, but the non resizable interface is a bit fiddly to use on higher res screens.

yeah I sold Presswerk as well because I wasn't using it (too many compressors) but for some reason tempted by it as well. I did re-buy Dark Zebra for $50 since it will give me a free update is Z3 ever comes.

DZ is tied to Z2. So yes, you need both to run DZ (HZ). And I use the HZ (DZ) more than any other single synth I have.
And yes, having both qualifies you for the Z3 upgrade for free.

yeah if you have both it will be a free upgrade. It cost around $30 without both. People like Dark Zebra a lot for the most part.
