I am normally using left input number 3, so in AT4 it is 3L + 3R.

It should be exactly the same way in AT5, but since the ASIO input numbers are scrambled (for some of us?/all?) in AT5, I set inputs to 2L + 3R - with my guitar actually still in 3L.

Cheers- I am now also in with inputs to 2L + 3R

I also had to change my outputs away from 1+2, and then go back to 1+2 to get the output working

In the rack fx: VINTAGE EQ - 1A, the HF ATTEN SEL knob becomes unresponsive after a short while.

Not sure if it is just for me, or everyone.

why with every release it gets so toxic? so much drama and disappointment.

MixBox was out and it was cesspool going through the roof, this thing is out and the story repeats. there's an obvious tendency going on and it gets bloody long in the tooth already.

if this was my development team, I'd tell them: "buggers, one more fecal fountain like this and you get no Xmas bonus this year, period". or even worse, "-20% off your monthly salary, now cry me a river".

over the years I've come to a firm assertion that nothing works better on lame duck employees than the fear of losing their dear shekels. other than firing the buggers, but that's the ultimate measure.

First, why are you assuming that's not already how IK is run? From what I hear, it is.

Second, every new software of this magnitude is going to have bugs. The ones I've come across are mostly due to minor oversights. Again, due to the sheer size and scope of AmpliTube 5. Personally, I haven't had any problems with restoring gear or audio I/O on either my Mac or Windows DAW, and I suspect those who have audio hardware issues are a pretty small subset of users with atypical configurations. I'm sure they're all on Windows, too, because Windows has become nearly impossible to develop for due to the sheer number of devices it supports + sloppy work from Microsoft in every new Windows update. I wish Windows 10 was merely as buggy as AmpliTube 5.0. It would be far more usable if it was.

Input/output issues in the stand-alone are being reported on BOTH Mac & PC.

TYPICAL reports are that the same EXACT audio in/out setup - with the very same interfaces work just fine - as they had, on Amplitube 4 and other programs.

TYPICALLY, one should expect it to be able to just set everything exactly the same in AT5 and be good to go, no?

The AT5 program that IK Product Manager dl'd & installed for me is calling my number 3 input, "number 2". So, I have to pretend that my input is a right side mic jack here to get it working, when it is in fact my left side instrument jack - in the real world.

Focusrite, Lynx, Steinberg, and RME are all "typical" and well known interface manufacturers

it has come to my realization that some of the music software forums such as KVR and GS and bunch of others are filled with lots of internet trolls. you can't take any of the posts too seriously. i suspect it's all rainbow 6 addicts who kill time in between tournaments by trolling music forums.

Anyways, the AT 5 product is really good and lots of improvements over previous version. A few issues here and there. But the improvements are definitely there. What matter is now is, how badly do you want it? You buy now, its pretty much a new product purchase, regardless of what you own from them. Or you can wait 24+ months and get it at more than 50% less than what its being sold at at one of the IKM promos they will most certainly hand on it.

I think I found a bug in the CS version today. If I click the square before the amp icon, it creates a second amp and splits the signal as expected. But if you click it again after that to get back to only a single amp, it won't let me. Says that feature only exists in the paid version. I'm just trying to go from two back to one.

I'm sorry that you are having issues and feel this release was not up to your standards. I know that some are experiencing issues and reported issues are being fixed (or a fix for many is already being tested and should be released soon). Yes, it can get frustrating but I do believe the developers created an amazing product with a large leap in quality vs the previous version. Again, I know it can be frustrating when something new doesn't work the way you expect it, but I'm also going to say on the record that I don't feel that a call for taking away a good part of someone's livelihood over any of the issues that AmpliTube 5 has had for some, many, or all users (depending on the issue) is fair. There are many who are happily using AmpliTube, some who had specific issues, and others that found issues that need to be addressed in an update, and the team went to work immediately to help all of the above get the most they can out of AmpliTube 5.

I do appreciate your input and your thoughts will be heard but I will not be backing the suggested consequences as the team created something special here and any issues experienced will be fixed expediently.

I am a bit confused with the Hendrix pack seeming to vanish, I own the pack as part of Max 4, but now only the Anniversary edition and custom shop says I need to buy it (despite showing I own all parts)

There have been some missing gear problems - Try "Restore my Purchases" in the new (v2) Custom Shop. And unauthorize and reauthorize AT5.

Thanks, I seem to have access to all the individual bits of gear, I am just wondering If the original Hendrix pack and the Anniversary pack are different products (as only the latter is in the custom shop now)

The original Hendrix Collection (from 2007 or earlier?) is not available as a product any more. But I am almost certain that all of those models were redone in the JH Anniversary Collection.
