The method with the vocals was brave in approach but needs a bit more training to achieve the desired effect. However, I'm impressed.
A trick is to have your hands closer to your rib cage; closer but not touching. It's a natural defense reflex when the anxiety of performance is relevant. It's when your arms feel like they're without tension when near this area that you know you're on par.

Is this a technique? I looked for it demonstrated online buy couldn't find it.
I'm always looking to improve a few % in my vocals.

I used to do choir as a child. Often the breastplate is considered an area that is referred to as a "core" of sound. I have a condition that affected My head voice, I'm not so much tone deaf as I am damaged in My inner ears. Beethoven had the same, as a result I need to sense the bass of a sound to understand it.
But bass is a phenomenon that takes distance to travel (breakpoints and rarefaction) to be distinguishable. The small hairs in the ear are the only apparatus which allow it, which is where I lack. I research and study every angle.
Where you might research is the stance and poise of an operatic, likely there will be some useful content to that regard.

Shades of David Gilmour on the vocals. I hear Comfortably Numb all over this, especially the music. I could absolutely hear Pink Floyd doing this.
