It’s not that kind of specialized PM, more like a waveguide, a resonant tube or string...

If you start with a slider that has the fine adjustment on the side of the handle nearer the minimum value, and the coarse adjustment on the side nearer the maximum value, no rotation of the whole slider will change this relationship.

Exactly, it's not about rotating the sliders in your mind, it's about what half is on the minimum side or the maximum side. For vertical, coarse is the half on the maximum side. I would think intuitively it should be the same for horizontal ones.FrogsInPants wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 3:51 pmIf you start with a slider that has the fine adjustment on the side of the handle nearer the minimum value, and the coarse adjustment on the side nearer the maximum value, no rotation of the whole slider will change this relationship.

Still can’t get over how ugly the GUI is. Yes, we listen with our ears, but we also interact with our eyes.

My feeling is that that the sliders will function fine on a multi-touch monitor.
The GUI will become the control surface.
Ok, I confess I have a MT monitor.
See my signature.
To me the GUI looks fine aesthetically speaking but I am the first to admit that I am not a GUI connoisseur.

I am curious how a screen shot will help you discern if the presets are more suitable for you.tatanka wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 3:43 pm Maybe its just my wrong understanding of "physical modelling", but I would have aspected something (at least from general direction and presets) like Friction from Reason that just has come out. I dont say the presets are bad but just nothing in this direction. So would really be appreciated if someone who already has it could make a screen or anything.
I imagine the only real thing is to hear them rather than see their names.
No?

Todaynthe final Version was releases.
Guys... Brian wrote that zur Demo Version will be 1.0 soon. So maybe the list of presets will be growing in the demo, too.
If you look for bread and butter preset player go elsewhere I would say. But I would estimate that there is nothing between you and to be world to come to standardish sounds with plasmonic

It is quite good on a touch screen. Though I'm still not sure if the coarse/fine tuning thing is the best way to go about that. It's not bad, but easier would probably be a toggle button somewhere no the GUI that just flips everything from coarse to fine adjustments. Might be a nice option to have (Coarse/Fine/Split).Kalamata Kid wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 4:38 pm My feeling is that that the sliders will function fine on a multi-touch monitor.
