Since both the Basslines and U No lx go semitone for each whole number setting, I am pretty sure what happened is this was done on purpose. And either he or I, made a mistake in the manual and labeled it as semitones.

Why would changing the pitch bend range from semitones for 1.00 to whole tones for 1.00 be on purpose? Makes no sense...

I have zero issue with a whole number representing God forbid a whole tone, but maybe the shift drag snap should be in 0.5 intervals.

It just makes things very inconsistent really in TAL's product range... People expect ONE octave when they see 12... And if I want to target a fifth bend range, I need to set it to... 3.5? Blech.
And this is a simple parameter display change, really, so fixing it to make things more consistent and expected would indeed be great.

As usual, email him your requests.
I suspect it being Holiday season it might be till next year until anything but bugs are acted upon.
It really doesn't bother me. I bend with my ears. But If changed, once it doesn't affect older presets, then sure, I can see its advantages.

The updated SC panel is pretty good now
I know it is not part of the original, but since that panel already exists, he might add the pan position deviation from the center. Just an idea...
I think OBsession has that kind of voice panning if I remember correctly.

The hardware Oberheim had per voice panning though.

Agree on all counts. In no world does someone think of a fifth as a 3.5 half-tones.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 4:36 pm It just makes things very inconsistent really in TAL's product range... The range doesn't need to change, just what gets displayed to the user. Where 0.5 currently gets displayed, just show 1.0 to represent semi-tones. Then the snapping could continue to snap to 1.0 values, but those values will be semitones. And on the GUI, show the max number as 24.
There's literally 0 other synths I can think of where 12 actually equals 24 and 3.5 actually represents 7 semitones. Let's not be unique when it comes to that.
