Yep. Nice gift but installing their license app for one plugin... Maybe one day
I miss the times where it was possible to get freebie without need to install license app. Freebie makes sense tho for current users who already have it installed.

I think it sounds more clean than the TAL one. There's some... smear in the TAL one which is not there in the Arturia. Not necessarily worse of better, just a tad different.HotCoffee wrote: Wed Dec 23, 2020 8:21 pm Gotta say, I'm liking this one a lot. To my ears, it is very much comparable to TAL's, with some tweaking.
Both sound good IMO.

I wish. I really think their "3 modulation effects..." are excellent. Add in a CE-1, CE-2, and you can have a BBD Chorus collection right there.Lotuz2019 wrote: Wed Dec 23, 2020 8:04 pm Do you guys think Arturia will release another set of three modulation effects? Maybe two more built-in effects that they'll take from their V Collection instruments with added features? The Solina Ensemble for example? Which other built-in effects would be interesting to have as effects plugins?

No disrespect intended. I was just making a little joke.Erisian wrote: Wed Dec 23, 2020 7:41 pmKVRs response is as varied as its users. I have a right to make the choices I make and I have a right to express them. If you're going to give something away, just give it away, don't pretend it's a generous free gift when you really only want somebody's email address so that you can spam them with "offers" every five minutes. This is business, not a gift, and I don't want to do business with companies that take me for a gullible idiot.
Your point is valid and your initial comment was respectful.
Though I don’t always agree, I do appreciate the tempered cynicism that is prevalent around here. I think it is a responsible point of view and a very necessary counterpoint to the slavish naivete of some other Internet forums.
I just chuckle at the fact that I can sometimes predict the posts almost verbatim.

I chuckle at the fact that I predicted a post like Erisian's when I created this thread. You are absolutely right, KVR is so predictable most of the time. There'll always be at least one guy who wants to pee in everyone else's tea.Local Man wrote: Wed Dec 23, 2020 10:48 pm I just chuckle at the fact that I can sometimes predict the posts almost verbatim.
And, yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion. That's the issue with the internet, and all that negative, destructive energy these days. It all has its up- and downsides. It's a problem with the zeitgeist. People actually appreciated stuff back in the days. Nowadays, we're fed and saturated, and much more prone to complaints.
Anyway, after this fascinating sociological contemplation, I hope we can talk about this plugin again.

Since the topic seems to have shifted somewhat, does this need some Arturia license App or just an account to download the plugin?

You need the Arturia Software Center to activate and install the plugin. No problem for me, as I already have other Arturia plugins installed. But, generally, of course it's a tad annoying to have so many different activation apps on the computer.

BTW, I absolutely love what Arturia does with their plugin GUI's. Nicely resizable, extendable, fast, comes with tutorials which explain the plugin's parts... I wished other devs would do such nice GUI's. They're really a notch above other developers in that regard.
