Great plug, Arturia. Thanks for this complement of my chorus section, it is really an extension besides Eventide, D16 and some others.
Your ASC is always welcome on my workstation. Please sit down and take a cookie. I´ll now consider your products - althought I´m a little bit pissed off by your pricing policy. I mean why should a buy a single product for such prices or buy simply too much to use for even more?
Looking forwards for next christmas.
Bon noël!

Both are for the same purpose: advertising and self-promotion.Teksonik wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 3:20 pmOne is a truly altruistic gesture the latter a gesture with ulterior motives. The motives being to get your e-mail for advertising purposes and to get their copy protection software on your system so it removes any reason for you not to buy their software in the future.
You’re right about Arturia, but you’re missing TAL’s motivation. TAL doesn’t put money into slick videos like Arturia, and is a much smaller developer, with fewer resources and less notoriety. Giving away a plug-in that showcases features of a plug-in he sells is for the purpose of getting TAL’s name out there and letting people know he has a Juno plug-in for sale. That’s how a lot of us found out about TAL.
There’s nothing wrong with either developer doing this. Both are nice plugins that you can get for free (for now), but both developers are ultimately doing it to increase their customer bases and help themselves sell more products.

I don't know what I just read here, but I had a good time doing it.audiouser720 wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 7:00 am Everything is aliasing nowadays. Music should not be made without plugindoctor. I think Spotify should not be allowed to stream music without plugindoctor scanning each track end showing if and where it aliases in fact it should use AI to restrict streaming for only music where aliasing is not present at all. It’s a big issue. Ppl say no for aliasing! Fck good music with soul who cares! Just no aliasing please. Hopefully there will be a vaccine one day. Stay safe Merry Christmas!

is it possible that Plugin Doctor is ADDING aliasing so the analytical lunatics among us have something to complain about constantly? hehe it would certainly boost their sales if 'easter eggs' were found everywhere and under every rock lol

People do know it's really easy to find aliasing with a spectrum analyzer, right?
And yeah, Jun-6 does alias, more in manual mode than the regular modes. If you're in the habit of listening to piercingly loud 5kHz sines you might be upset by hearing the aliasing tones too
Analog BBDs also alias, by their very nature. Except for Doepfer's modules, they have a filter ahead of the BBD to reduce aliasing, but a loud enough signal in the right range could probably still generate detectable aliasing.

This is why I asked if it’s normal behavior, the Tal chorus doesn’t have any aliasing, so I’m trying to find a answer? Maybe it is supposed to alias, i’ve never owned a Juno so.... I don’t know really, what I can say for sure is that it aliases.foosnark wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 1:50 am People do know it's really easy to find aliasing with a spectrum analyzer, right?

Also to the guys trying to discredit what I’m saying by accusing me of being a plug-in doctor fan, you do realize that this is going to end up in the signal right? because generally just a simple saw wave has enough harmonics to reach all the way to the nyquist and many filter resonances in leads and pads do hover around 3 to 5k in the spectrum so if there’s a peak in the spectrum in that area it’s going to alias for sure.
Also I have nothing against aliasing, I love the it, that why I bought the plogue chip synths, the wavetracing sp950, TAL’s sampler, etc. heck what would the terminator soundtrack would be with out those beautifully aliased strings on the fairlight, I just heard aliasing while trying to build a jun6 preset for melda’s MBchorus and figure out I would asked in KVR if it was normal or not, but I guess constructive discussion is not what this forum is about.

Have you boost the signal by 100db? It's a weird source to be sendinging through a chorus.Lucastyle wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 2:17 pmhttps://soundcloud.com/user-454342554/1 ... The signal is pretty bandlimited, which you'd expect in a BBD chorus.Lucastyle wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 2:06 am Hate to be that one that brings this but this chorus aliases way too much, Is this normal behavior?
I was excited to compare this to the TAL chorus to see if it was better but the aliasing its just to much, I hate myself for installing the Arturia Software Center just for this.![]()
This surely sounds like aliasing
But I guess aliasing is not that important or else why would all the best developers like U-he, Cytomic, Melda and many others include and make sure the is options to minimize those byproducts.

Just got around to installing this.
It’s very nice. Much more subtle than the TAL version as many have pointed out. I’ve never played a real Juno but this seems like it’s closer to the intent of the real thing. Throw this on a single oscillator, basic waveform and boom, it sounds much more rich and musical.
The TAL is more aggressive and works great as a special effect chorus.
The two compliment each other really well to be honest.

I think people round these parts are probably just a bit weary that in every thread you just know the Alias Police are going to drop by and it's become a bit of a predictable meme at this point.Lucastyle wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 3:21 am This is why I asked if it’s normal behavior, the Tal chorus doesn’t have any aliasing, so I’m trying to find a answer? Also, momentary peaks at 5k are a bit different to a constant annoying tone normalised to max volume. If that's in your music I never want to hear it.
