I have some sample CD's but the samples are contained within CD audio tracks. Extracting these to wav files isn't a problem but what I was wondering was is there a quick way to extract each individual sample from each audio track or wav?

Each CD track has atleast 4 or 5 or maybe 6 samples in it and what you get is a sample then something like 3 or 4 seconds of silence, then the next sample, and so on until the end of the track.

So what I am asking is this, is there a program to extract these in a decently fast way or must I load each one into soundforge or audition, highlight the sample, copy, then paste into a new document? Thank you for your time. :)

used to use a pgm called (i think) 'waveknife". it is a freebie and would nicely slice up loops/samples into separate files. you still had to do some trimming but it saved a lot of time.

you'll have to search it as i don't remember where i found it.
