Plugin did not made me purchase more REs but I was happy that I can use already purchased RE's and my Combi patches inside Ableton now.

Not necessary true. If your DAW have modulation capabilities, it's basically the same as using CV in Reason. There is no difference for me if I modulate NE Basimilus knobs via CV in Reason or modulate or automate it's parameters in Ableton Live or in Bitwig via Clips or using build in LFO.

Well, it's the second time you bring up Voltage Modular in a thread about Reason...

Reason's always been a bit of a Trojan Horse. I picked it up a few years ago on sale planning to only ReWire into other DAWs but then realised I enjoyed it's standalone workflow and now it sits alongside my other DAWs as an equal.

The only RE I am interested in and kind of on the fence is Friktion. But as it doesn‘t support MPE, I‘d rather invest in Plasmonic... So until now I got everything for free including the Rack vst...

I can’t see any RE which is so unique and not « Reason focused » (if I wanted Reason focus things, I’d go Reason stand-alone) that doesn’t exist in VST-land. The only one I can see is VK-2.
One limitation of the RE format is the width of the modules. It makes anything which needs some big « real estate » look square. Too bad, I think wide is better than tall in synth design (less true with FXs modules)

Let's hope the new Hi-Res update (coming soon) will have Scalability added and should apply to the plug-in too.
