Hey there KVR! Been lurking here for a while, but finally decided to sign up in hopes someone could answer my question.
I'm looking for a plugin with a volume-over-time graph (not sure if this is the correct name) that can overlay multiple audio sources simultaneously. Ideally with a sidechain, but independent graphs for the stereo channels would be fine, I could do some channel hacks to get the same result.
Another way to describe what I'm after is a view similar to some compressor plugins (Ableton stock, Melda as shown below, UA Zip, etc.) with the ability to analyze multiple arbitrary audio signals. In fact, I do want to use it to analyze some compressors that lack this kind of visualization.
I checked the popular free plugins and trialed a few others and didn't find one that could do this - I may have overlooked the feature though.
P.S. Is there a standard name for this kind of graph? Ableton calls it "activity view" and Melda calls it a "time-graph."

Well, since you're already familiar with Melda, MMultiAnalyzer can do this.
Just use your DAW's routing to split each signal out, e.g. in Ableton Live if you want to analyze both the dry and the wet signal from some third-party compressor, put the compressor in an effect rack, add a dry chain, and put MMultiAnalyzer on both chains (after the compressor on the appropriate chain of course). Open one of the MMultiAnalyzer windows and color it differently so it's easier to see the difference, and pick "Loudness & Wave" tab.

So it can! Thanks. I haven't dived deep into Melda's non-free plugins though I did buy myself MXXX as a Christmas present.
The waveform graph isn't ideal for me (I'd prefer, aesthetically, if it were a standard graph like the loudness one) so I'm open to hearing about any other plugins that could do this.
