I looked on their website and their license transfer policy is not clear.
It says a lot about deactivating a license and transferring it to another computer you own...but silent as far as I can see on license transfer.

Anyone know if there would be a license transfer fee for buying a pre-owned Serato Sample ?

I think its one of the best sample chopper/handler (any other opinions) ?

I have seen people sell Serato Sample on this forum, so it has to be possible. Never seen a fee mentioned though. Contact their Support.

Earlier this year I was thinking about selling it myself, because I was hoping the LE version would offer me all the features I need (one pad, attack, release, pitchshift, timestretch). Unfortunately it doesn't, so I decided to keep using my full license. My LE license might come in handy someday as it can be used to play back projects that were created with the full version.

My vote is Redux...I much preferred it to Serato Sample

I’m not a fan of Redux. Felt a little less immediate to me than Serato Sample.

I also prefer Sample to Vice, but some people might prefer Vice- you can do a little more within the plugin but the basic stuff isn’t as simple as Sample IMO.

I have really enjoyed Serato since getting it - very intuitive and fast workflow. And for my ears, some of the cleanest sounding sample pitch-shifting around!

Lots of samplers and drum machines even can do what Serato Sample does. The advantage with Serato is the speed in which you can chop samples and lay them out on the keyboard. The built in key detection is a time saver too. Trying to chop up samples in something like Tal Sampler will take you much longer.

Is Serato Sample among the best in its category, and do Serato have a license transfer policy ?
