If you're serious about ditching Logic, then it's best to stick to VST, that way you can move to a PC easier. Not gonna say it's flawless, but I mainly use VST these days besides a few plug ins where the AU version is likely more stable on OS X.
Honestly, if you don't own Kontakt, it's pretty much a no brainer to get it. The amount of professionally sampled libraries available for it is far greater than all other libraries combined. There's a simple sampler in Reaper for one off things.

Does any of you speak from personal experience? Because, as an owner of both Mac and Windows systems, I can assure you that YES, his specific problems will be solved with a new PC. A different DAW is a consequence of the option, since Logic isn't available in Windows (thanks to Apple "vision").Passing Bye wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 5:37 amLet him find the hard way, there's price to pay for being stubborn.machinesworking wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 8:42 am Your issues are not going to be solved by a new PC and a different DAW, not in the long run.
But you seem to be Apple fanboy, so your statement isn't to be taken seriously, is it?

Finally, a statement we both agree onmachinesworking wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 7:05 am If you're serious about ditching Logic, then it's best to stick to VST, that way you can move to a PC easier. Yes, especially machinesworking.
Disagree, his specific problem will persist on any system and any DAW.Because, as an owner of both Mac and Windows systems, I can assure you that YES, his specific problems will be solved with a new PC.
Of course not, only yours, because you are all about objectivity and respect, also only one that used both macOS and Windows and more than one DAW...But you seem to be Apple fanboy, so your statement isn't to be taken seriously, is it?

OK then. Do you "actually" have or ever had a Windows system running a DAW? Which system? Which DAW?Passing Bye wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 10:46 amDisagree, his specific problem will persist on any system and any DAW.fmr wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 10:24 am Because, as an owner of both Mac and Windows systems, I can assure you that YES, his specific problems will be solved with a new PC.
I am objective, since I know Apple for a long time (I happened to be an Apple defender, back in the day) and if I attack them now is because I have been experiencing in person their shitty behavior, more than once. And, as I wrote, I have BOTH system, and yes, I have several DAWs running (not Logic Pro anymore, I abandoned it when they changed to Logic Pro X and asked users to buy it AGAIN at full price). But I have Mainstage, basically to try and keep current with their virtual instruments.Passing Bye wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 10:46 amOf course not, only yours, because you are all about objectivity and respect, also only one that used both macOS and Windows and more than one DAW...But you seem to be Apple fanboy, so your statement isn't to be taken seriously, is it?
And how did I disrespected you? Because I called you a fanboy? If you don't want to be called that, don't act like that.

Suppose I should act like you, go around talking rubbish and feeling superior to anyone that disagrees with me, get over yourself.fmr wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 11:20 am And how did I disrespected you? Because I called you a fanboy? If you don't want to be called that, don't act like that.

By "rubbish" you mean calling Apple "shitty"?Passing Bye wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 11:36 amSuppose I should act like you, go around talking rubbish and feeling superior to anyone that disagrees with me, get over yourself.fmr wrote: Thu Dec 31, 2020 11:20 am And how did I disrespected you? And no, I don't feel superior to anyone. I am humble enough to agree with others I disagreed before, when I think they are right (see my post about what machinesworking advises). I just say what I think, and I say it LOUD AND CLEAR.

No need for a 10000 $ mac pro.
I purchased a imac 2020 27 inch I7 3.8 ghz 8 cores for 2500 $
It can run full Logic projet with more than 50 plugins and CPU barelly goes above 10 % !

And you say this because you have an "objectivemeter"?
Both posts just reflect your opinion. I respect your right to an opinion, but I don't value it. You weren't even asked about, so you are in no position to talk about arrogance. IMO, of course

No, "upcoming news", predictions, opinions and "facts" you presented so far in this thread.
You do actually, that's why you can't accept that someone else knows something as much as you do or even more, that someone else might actually have more insight, experience and knowledge, so instead of giving respect and offering some arguments, you are resorting to name calling, bold claims and all around mockery, trying to bring whole conversation on that lame level. And no, I don't feel superior to anyone.
You aren't humble, period. Machinesworking proved you wrong on most of your claims, you never had decency to actually give him props for it, he's actually objective and humble guy, it's not hard to find million things he's right about, kudos for finding actually one.I am humble enough to agree with others I disagreed before, when I think they are right (see my post about what machinesworking advises).
I proved you wrong too, after all your almighty mockign attmept to dismiss my argument, than you avoided whole thign, than found next one to be all almighty and dismissive about.
Cognitive dissonance kinda explain this whole sharade, there's probably more text book things that could apply to your behavior in this thread and this board in general, but will leave that to your shrink.
Have a great one.

Yeah, you too
As I wrote above, that's your opinion. I respect your right to an opinion, but I don't value it.
It's no use to keep talking. This is a deaf conversation, and I will not contribute anymore to derail the thread.
