I'm trying to decide between this EQ or the Focusrite SC. This EQ looks like it would be of great help on busses specifically because of the mono maker and the spreader sounds really good. Plus the ease at which you can everything sound good with this EQ is amazing.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up.monophonK wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 2:16 pm bx_2098 has received a GUI update and now matches the colors of the 9099 Strip perfectly![]()
Finally the 2098 gets a resizable GUI although I think a 175% option could be something 4K users might want. The max 150% works well at 1080p for these old eyes.
It defaults to the "used" skin which drives me nuts when developers "age" their plugins but there is a New option just as there is in their AMEK 9099 and the choice can be saved as default.
It does introduce Native Instrument's "Usage Data Tracking" but it was off by default as it should be so check that after installing.
The 2098 is a fantastic stereo EQ so I'm very grateful to have a new version that I can actually see and kudos to PA for making it a free update.

to my taste best pa plugins are the once from Bettermaker and neold.
Already have huge collection of pa plugins, but use mostly these two brands.
BX plugins are ok ,but sounds bit digital to my taste,if a man want more analog-ish vibe.
Of course taste is like assh.le - everybody have it and bring it around hahaha

I won't start a new thread but I just discovered that the Elysia Museq also got an update to include new GUI sizes up to 150%.
bx_rooMS and bx_Delay 2500 have also received new GUI size updates. I'm going through my collection of PA plugins to see which one have been updated. Great to see them still getting some love.

I would use bx_bassdude for electric bass sometimes, I think it is the only pa plugin I use, I think I have about four. I disable cabs and use different cabs, cool plugin. The original Bassman was primarly used for guitars, though

A great deal of them have the usage tracking-for-resizable GUI trade-off updates within the last couple months including SPL PASSEQ!Teksonik wrote: Sun Mar 08, 2026 9:20 pm I won't start a new thread but I just discovered that the Elysia Museq also got an update to include new GUI sizes up to 150%.

Yes many of the PA plugins I own got the Usage Tracking update and little else other than "General: Improved performance" which I'm convinced is developer speak for "we want everyone to download the latest version".
But I'm grateful for the GUI updates because now I can see some of the older plugins I couldn't see before without sticking my nose on the monitor.
As long as Usage Tracking is off by default (not on by default like Native Instruments) I'm okay with it. I've been monitoring and it doesn't look like the PA plugins are sending any data.
I've been using the new 2098 in tracks and it's a very nice zero latency EQ which will get a lot of use here now that I can see it comfortably. I asked if they were going to give it a resizable gui several years ago and had pretty much given up on it so I'm very happy and surprised to see it updated.
I don't own the SPL PASSEQ probably because it didn't have GUI resize in the past but I will certainly be on the lookout for it to go on sale now. I miss the super sales PA used to have in the past. That's how I managed to acquire so many of them over the years.

So many updates here. Just making the GUI big enough so my older tired eyes can see it properly is like getting a new plugin. Thanks PA. And they only let you resize to the biggest possible workable size, which is great!
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

If it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't even know loads of plugins have had GUI updates.

I always liked this one and was happy to see the update. The monomaker sounds nice to me (I think it's just a lpf on the sides and the TMT seems to sound good. Shelves are smooth, etc
