I got an Audient EVO 4

it's got 1 instrument DI input on front, and two XLR microphone preamp inputs on back.

I wanna get this thing

it has 2 TRS outputs for it's stereo.

Do I run the speaker outputs of my Audient EVO4 > into the two inputs of the BOSS, then user a TRS>XLR cable and run it's outputs, into the inputer of my interface?

I want to use it for stereo effects so...

No offense, but if you’re using a computer that level of multi-effect isn’t going to do anything for you that a decent multi-effect plugin won’t do and do better. Your DAW probably already has a decent complement of effects for you to use but I think I saw that PSP Audio has N2O on sale for $20 and it’s excellent, though the interface is a bit dated. (Better than the SE-50, though)

You don't need TRS>XLR cables but TRS>TRS because the EVO4's inputs are combo jacks,so you can plug a TRS in.

BTW you won't be able to use your speakers anymore in this configuration.
You need a bigger audio interface with more Inputs/Outputs,if you are planning to use external gear.
If you chose to swap your audio interface,I would look one with Adat I/O ports in case you want to expand your number of analog I/O's in the future for more external gear.

I use a RME UFX + to route my outboard modular synth fx modules filters etc and my OTO boxes. It quite nice to run virtual synths through external filters and hardware fx and then back into your DAW.And yes you need and mutilple inputs and outputs on your audio interface to achieve this.

It's hardly worth the effort these days, unless you're into noisy gritty stuff. Can be loads of fun for a few bucks indeed.

But the way to do it is with an audio interface with at least four mono outputs. Two for your monitors and two for sending to the fx unit.
Or perhaps use a mixer. Could work indeed, but the mixer should not be too simple.

My favorite producer used this in his gear, along with a SPX and SDE9000, but I think he used the "4x pitch shifter" and "vocoder" patches on it to achieve the vocal effects in his song, since the songs were before 2003 and I don't think there were many good vst's back then, and since I can get them pretty cheap for like 80$ on ebay I was thinking of getting it to see if I can replicate the effect...

I guess something like waves ovox, or eventide plugins could replicate it but I havent seen any examples from those plugins that hit a similar type of voice on youtube yet...

Are you using the outputs of your RME as a CV outputs to control your modular stuff? Can you please describe your setup with modular synth modules.
