Wondered if a moving sound effect would be popular?

I was thinking, using some physical principles it would be possible to make a sound seem as if it were taking flight and moving from left to right and up and down. Like a jet; but as if you are the passenger, like you'd be inside the sound.

I think it would be best for EDM and wondered how people felt about using physics that way. Math for dbspl is without echo. With that I can calculate rarefaction for a given distance with a polar pattern and a given frequency response, but soon I'll have in My hands meters and testing equipment to test rarefaction in a larger acoustic chamber with echoes.

Furthermore, I'll likely have access to an ideal space with a great deal of carpet that will be very like a real set that pros use too.

It was by using the online service panzoid that I got the idea. It's pretty cool, but all those crazy animated logos going all over the place gave Me a headache :).
I don't make audio products anymore. I sell furniture & smart products.

How different would that be from the things we can do with HRTF?

waves brauer motion?

or mondomod?

or animating any of PA's DearVR plugins's parameters with your DAW's LFO/SEQ/automation ?

I don't know if got what mean, but on the one hand we have different kinds of modulation possibilities and on the other hand what you want sounds pretty much like a simulation and those are as demanding as costly.

But first of all I'd ask If what you want is physically in reach of the given possibilities? I imagine a rooms full of speakers and a server architecture to serve them with the results of demanding calculations :?

Fiedler Audio Stage - not 3D but...

Btw the gaming industry would surely be interested in such capabilities ...

Please note that many clubs play EDM in mono so these effects might just result in strange phasing in these situations:

@kingozrecords: I'd certainly be interested, thanks.

However, in addition to noting the comments of people above, it is also worth looking at the oldie-but-goldie Oligarc Phaser.
I used to make effects with Oligarc Phaser where you would feel like the audio sound was literally moving inside your head and then like a floating bubble around the back of your head.
(this was on a bedroom stereo / boombox).
It was probably most noticeable with bass audio and phasing, but sometimes I got it to sound really good!
Of course there are plenty of other phasers which can do the 'rotating around the room / head' effect, but Oligarc Phaser is to my ears the best at this and is also an often overlooked gem.

(The phaser is included in the whole Oligarc synth purchase as a separate plugin)

I am not sure Iget entirely what you're after. From your description... perhaps looking into Roland's RSS technology would be interesting to you.
