Not surprised here. It always happens when the couch potatoes try to talk you dead. :D

Of course, was there any doubt it wouldn't be?
Have you tried Vital?

Nice to hear! :)

I think it’s the Black Friday/year end marketing thing they’ve been conducting. I’ve been interested in Reason Rack VST for a while now, but it wasn’t until I got a discount upgrade for only $81 that I really was able to appreciate it. I liked it so much inside of Ableton that I decided to upgrade to Suite (only $155!), and even got the Noise Engineering RE bundle ($80). Holy crap I spent a bunch of Reason money in a month! It struck me as the DAW deal of the year, I guess. I just really appreciated how well the VST worked inside of Live. Great sound. Really doesn’t use anymore CPU than the Ableton Suite instruments, and they’re different sounding enough to justify owning.

Yes, but only few have felt that bragging about it was somehow appropriate. I can't help but shake my head about that tweet.

Understand that the guy was placed as Reason Studios' CEO by Verdane, I.e. the venture capital that bought Propeller head few years back. I doubt he knows a lot about music production and Reason itself. He's just advertising their investment doing well :)

Still, I'm especially surprised about "ever". I mean Reason was pretty huge in the early 2000, right?

I can see your question https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7517387 about MSEG yepp has the same issue as Bitwig, Voltage2 has, the only usable MSEG is the note triggered Gatekeeper in Reason too, the diff. in Voltage2 audio can be used as CV (Bitwig also can do it with audio-rate modulators) source directly without any additional converter Reason needs a dedicated device like like https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... dio-to-cv/ (or http://www.reason101.net/2009/12/15/8-a ... ing-audio/ ) to able to use audio as a CV source
Image
there is no VST out/MIDI channel support in it (although note pitch based channelization can be achieved in it with https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... ix-player/ ) and still don't like the track colors of it :D

Is it bragging or could it be sharing good news? Honestly many of us were doubting him and didn't think he could turn around the company. He came from a dot com and has no experience in pro audio. Also Reason needs a lot of work to be competitive in the DAW market.

yepp, the poster of this wishlist https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic. ... &t=7513613 can see the problems quite well ... honestly I have to say at this moment Reaper+Voltage
Image
is a better Reason than Reason itself (especially because it(both Reaper,Voltage) supports the VST3 format so can host Reason plugins) ... but I have around 200+ REs so hope it gonna change someday ... in this decade :D

How is my question from 7 months back about MSEG relevant here? And I was asking for Reason device, i.e. native or RE.

Cool. Now there’s even less excuse for Reason to be in low definition like it was 1998.

(I kid, I know they are working on it)
