Where can I find progressions for RC to add to the library? I know you can import midi files into RC and sdd the chord progressions to the library but it takes a lot of time. Are there any already existing progression collections in RC format than can be aded to RC?

I recommend using the following categorized progressions:

It may not be a good idea to install many thousands of chord progressions generated from RC rules. You can generate the same from within RC.

Thank you Attila.
I agree with you no need to store 1000´s of phrases when they can be generated following cryteria inside RC. All do the categorized progressions you suggest
If I want to create modal progressions wich rules do I follow? As you know modal progressions have their own color and harmonic rules.
When drag the categorized progressions folder inside mac/users/documents/RC4
I can not see the progressions folder in the Prg menu in the browser, only in the Fill menu.
so i ask you what do I do when i want phrases, progressions or rhytms to be under the browser categories they belong to?
i saw there is a DB folder in the fonder inside RC and I don´t understand what is it for.

thanks

Hello Tomas,

just copy the progression folders into RapidComposerV4/DB.

You have to copy any downloaded phrases into your "custom phrases" folder, as set under Settings / Locations (by default: Documents/RapidComposerV4/Custom Phrases). Similarly you copy rhythm patterns to the "custom rhythms" folder.
Everything else: progressions, chords, scales, rules, instruments, voicings, controller and articulations are stored in the DB folder.

There are no rules included for each mode: Dorian/Phrygian/Lydian/etc. I wish someone more knowledgeable than me would contribute these rules...

Thanks,
Attila
