I should add, if anyone is selling a copy - PM me. I will 100% buy it (for a reasonable price)

I just wanted to come here and say that I am in love with this reverb. I've been using it on everything, and it's just so, so good.

You know how some effects sound like they're kind of "next to" the main sound? As if it were a separate sound, not part of the sound itself? That's how the Valhalla reverbs always leave me feeling. Illusion doesn't have that. When I use it as a reverb, everything sounds like an actual sound in a space, and it's glorious.

It takes to sharp, plucky synths so well and percussion transients don't seem to overwhelm it (a big problem I have with a lot of reverbs).

I've just barely scratched the surface of what I can do with it, but I've had it for a month now and it's easily the best verb I've owned so far. It's just so musically useful. I've owned all the Valhalla, 2CAudio, Eventide, Fabfilter, UVI, Native Instruments, etc verbs and this is just better for my bad techno. It might even graduate me to mediocre techno.

And one more thing about Illusion. It doesn’t use CPU when it’s not actually processing the sound. I don’t know why it’s the only reverb from LiquidSonics that designed this way. I’m using Illusion in 6 return tracks simultaneously because of that. Gorgeous.

Good point.

I should not have demoed this. I really really should not have demoed this. I'm only about an hour in and my wallet is burning to buy it. I've been trying to use R4 (demo) to see if I like it, and while I do like the sound but it's just not easy to get the sound that I want. Plus the interface is just.... not my thing. But Illusion though? Oh My God... The looks... the sound.... the feel! 10/10 this is going to be my next reverb. I just wish I didn't miss the sale.
Yo.

I have both, but I still prefer Illusion.

Fairly different in a good way.
Reverberate 3 lets you add your own Impulse Responses (and third party), Illusion has a sound of its own.
Both are great.

One of the cool things you can do with Reverberate is say on an acoustic guitar track you can send a parallel bus to reverberate and load an acoustic guitar IR and mix to match...

Of course you can do this in most verbs/spaces that let you load IR's but this does a really quick and nice job of it.

One thing I dislike about Reverberate is that I can’t drag and drop samples into it. The new Hybrid Reverb in Ableton and the Convolution Pro M4L do that, and I do prefer that.
