I am not so hopeful, but hope I am wrong.

regarding this (users asking for a "better" preset browser) I remembered Richards stance (found a few replies in various places)

His answer is to use NKS. He thinks it is better than a native browser.....hence why all their synths and expansion packs are NKS compatible

so prob zero chance of a change

don't use NKS myself, but i dont have a problem with the browser as is, just passing on the info...

Thanks.
Its a pity, he sure knows his DSP stuff.

I don't get "use NKS". I thought NKS was a thing for NI controllers. I own an Arturia Keylab II, hopefully I'm mistaken and NKS can be used with any midi controlling device or something?

If I'm not mistaken, in what universe is this an okay suggestion? Am I supposed to go purchase a separate device just to use Synapse software efficiently? That's completely insane. That response (again, hopefully I'm wrong about how NKS works) shows such an immense lack of self-awareness that I will be hesitant to buy another Synapse software product. I currently own 3. Not saying anything is 100x better than telling me I need to change my workflow and fork out extra money because the developer is inflexible on something that's not that hard to code compared to some of the stuff present in the synths.

IMHO, Richard was asking the point of view of the beta team about a new browser, so i would stay positive and hope for a new one

You can load Komplete Kontrol without a NI controller for preset surfing. Just not sure if it makes much sense, I wouldn't do it. But we don't really know what he really said and in what context... so I'd go easy on the pitchforks..

He gave me the same response, "use NKS" personally.

the quotes/answers I gave were picked from SA YouTube channel, not the beta forum (tho he has said that there too, but for transparency I used the YT one)

So reading the manual is helpful, even if that's the last thing you want to do with a new synth. The oscillator "sync" option made no sense to me as none of the oscillators seemed to affect it, but after reading the manual now its actually useable and I love it. Separating the sync oscillator from the audible oscillators should be in every synth.

Also learning that "const" existed in the mod matrix fixed some issues I was having with some patches that required complicated workarounds.

I agree, I try and read the entire manual front to back on any new synth I buy, even if you feel confident you know all the controls. I almost always discover little tips or behaviors unique to the synth that I would have had no idea about otherwise.

Warning: The Apple Silicon build is AU-only, and is not a UniversalBinary2. Meaning on an M1, you are stuck with Logic if you install it. The M1 and Intel build can't both be installed, at least for AUs.

Why??? Please tell me that this is only temporary. Seriously. This is idiotic. UB2 exists for a reason. Every other plugin provider who has released AS-native plugins has released UB2 binaries for all supported types. Further, Reaper's beta supports native Apple Silicon VSTs, so it's not like that couldn't be tested.

reaper beta? doesn't sound like a reliable reference
