Waldorf Largo, PPG Wave 3.V and Waldorf Edition 2 are "NKS ready" now

I have two Windows tablets, each with Largo installed, and I have found the nks_ContentDir folder on each tablet. They are the same size on both tablets (about 685 MB), and each has many .nksf files. Largo shows up in the Factory synthesizers in both tablets, and the presets for Largo are listed. The previews only work on one of these tablets, however, even though the presets load into Maschine when clicked, and I see all of the Maschine controls for each preset in Largo once loaded. Other sound previews for other synths listed in the Factory tab (such as Zebra2) work fine, so I don't think that there is a Maschine issue. I have rescanned the database on the second tablet several times, but no luck.

Any ideas that the group may have as to how I can get the previews to sound on my second tablet would be very much appreciated!

Pretty sure that the Waldorf NKS instruments were originally released prior to Previews being implemented... the 'Previews' download in NA should contain all previews for those pre-Preview NKS releases.

I can't see any sign of the preview files in the presets folders for Waldorf NKS plugins so I guess they are included in the NI Previews - which unfortunately are organised in a way that makes it impossible to work out which previews belong to which plugin. However I guess that should mean reinstalling these should restore previews.

Thank you for this idea. However, I did not buy Largo in the NI sale a while ago - I bought it on CD-ROM originally, and have downloaded and installed the latest version directly from Waldorf's website. Thus, I assume that NI and Native Access probably won't have the solution to my problem here .

It shouldn't matter where you bought Largo from... if you are running the latest version and you installed the NKS components (which it sounds like you did?) then installing that 'Previews' download from NA should make the Previews for Largo work.

[ When the Previews function was added NI collated Previews for all NKS products released up until that point (including all the NI libraries) into this Preview download in Native Access. I just had a look to check on my system and the Largo previews are included. ]

By chance do you have an idea of how large this Previews download is? Can I download it from Native Access but install it on a computer that doesn't run Native Access (which this tablet does not)?

Interesting - no download called "Previews" appears anywhere in my Native Access - not in "not installed," not in "available updates," and not in "installed products."

I think I am getting closer to the answer. According to this - https://www.native-instruments.com/foru ... st-1971419 - I need to find the Waldorf Largo folder in the NBPL folder using the UPID for Largo, which appears to be c40be9a2-8eb0-11e5-8994-feff819cdc9f. Once this is located, I need to copy the hidden ".preview" folder within the UPID folder to the same folder where my Largo presets are.

Interesting that you didn't see the 'Previews' download available in NA.

Generally, it's a lot more straightforward for NKS libraries released after the Previews feature was launched, with the hidden .previews folder (hidden) in the same folder as the NKS presets!

I just want to say that i'm very impressed by the very low CPU requirement for PPG Wave 3, and sounds good too!

Current installers fail to install NKS content for Nave and mess up adding the correct path to NKS content for Largo

PPG Wave NKS presets have never worked for me. They are some totally different sound than they are supposed to be.

Using Pacifist I can unpack the NKS content from the Nave installer so it's there, just not being installed. A few mistakes though with the way they are setup.
