Hi

In Mix Console when I add a group channel it appears over to the left hand side and I can find no way of stopping this behaviour and/or moving the Group Channels over to the Right Hand side where my sub group channels are?

I am extremely frustrated as the constant scrolling from my sub grps on the right over to the Groups on the left is not only deeply annoying but is seriously killing my work flow (especially when there are 30+ tracks of audio inbetween.

I can not work like this and in previous versions of cubase I could move any group channel to any position I wanted in the Mix Console so my current issue makes no sense?

Move the groups ‘folder’ down the list, left hand side of arrange window, where all the channels are listed. Put it below everything and your groups should now be on the far right in the mixer, put it between whatever other folders you want to place it as desired.

Hi and thank you for your reply.

Thank you that seems to have done the trick.

It would be helpful if Steinberg detailed all of this in the manual or within the online help....

Thanks a lot and I really appreciate your help.

No problem. It’s always been this way, as far as I know. Maybe your folder got moved by mistake??

They do. The "dots" there determine if channels snap to right, left or the middle.

Select the Zones tab at the bottom.

There's 2 different things here. The dots will actually put a divider in the mixer and lock the left and right channels on either side of the mixer. I use this, my outputs locked on the right and inputs on the left, with all other channels in the middle, once I'm done recording I hide all inputs, but this keeps them visible while scrolling the middle section of the mixer. The issue with moving the folder on the left side of the arrange window is adjusting where mixer channels will be placed within the middle section of the mixer, for all channels with dots in the middle. You can use the dots and lock them to a zone if that works for you.
