Hi All,

I'm looking for someone either to create or donate patches to Depeche Mode - Told you so. Namely, the bass and lead brass but would prefer all if possible. I use FL Studio with it's default soft synths but don't mind if I have to use another soft synth. Can anyone help?

Cheers
Daz

Thanks very much for the reply. I think that's a little too technical for me as I'm a) a noob and b) over 50!

Post

ok, no probs...

what other synths do you have, I don't use FL

i can hear the brass bit in my head, prob a sample, but will check.... the bass I will need to listen to

Thanks very much! I use the free VST Synth1 mainly but could use others if required. More interested in accurate sound than what soft synth...perhaps Sylenth could be used instead?

Post

ok, Synth1 should be fine, I'll give it a try tonight.

Post

that would be amazing. Thank you!

Post

had a quick listen on my phone, sounds like brass has MW to filter and bass is a reso bass with vel to filter, but will listen properly tonight

Post

brilliant!!!

Post

do you have a decent midi file?

the ones I tried are crap :hihi:

after listening, there are 2 bass sounds, one very basic, low freq, one more acidy/reso, and two brass sounds, but they are your standard synth brass with a bit of bite

Post

no. not got a decent midi file either. probably got the same as you have from a google search. The lead brass filter opens up on an env i assume...

Post

ok, bear with me for a couple of days, havent used Synth1 for years

(tried Tyrell N6, but doesn't make a sound here....)

Post

hey, no problem. use whatever synth you have!

Any luck?
