Diva. What's "digi uhbie"? Is that an emulation of a synth? Which synth?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have to say, yes, Harrison has a very pleasant, even musical color (or colour depending). I plan on transitioning to it in the future, my only disappointment so far has been that I haven't been able to get the old Variety of Sound plugs to load up, and I love those things! So, we'll see if I can get that fixed.doctorbob wrote: Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:44 pm They do say that Harrison does give a particular colour to the mix which people really like. My friend who decided to mix on a big Harrison desk in Oslo said it was just what he wanted.
But, maybe do the whole track in Mixbus next time?

Celebrating my birthday playing with SQ8L for this month, i hope this one is allowed.
I've been recording notes and automations as i was playing/recording with the real thing with MIDI keyboard, so the arrangement is a bit strange and straight, with an "on live" style, but the feelings and the playing touch is there. Having fun with this beauty
Effects used so far:
·FL PEQ2.
·FL Limiter.
·ArcDev ET-301 without the modulation part (still available at Rekkerd and some others sites) which is modelled on the Boss DM-100 Delay Machine.
·TAL-Reverb 3, free plate reverb.
Now messing with the damn percussion, the title and the pic.
Have a good day everyone

Oh, I guess... For some reason, this phrase was translated in the past tense in a complete form, I do not know how to say it... in general, as if he had already done it. Oh, translator
Sorry, IrionDaRonin! Anyway, I'm waiting for your track!

Thanks again
I have question related to Kirnu Cream, i swear my life it was free sometime in the past, or did i dream about it? I didn't notice i used Kirnu Cream CM, so i have to change this for a bassline.
Any other good arpeggiator for free? If not, i will do it manually, i like to do arpeggios manually anyway.
Have a good day, mates

I've found BlueArp useful. Or, you could always record the output of Kirnu Cream to another track and cut out the original track in the final project.IrionDaRonin wrote: Wed Jan 13, 2021 5:59 pm Any other good arpeggiator for free? Anyway, i found the old free version of Kirnu. I knew there was a lite version. But all links are down

This is both a question to the community and a creative idea:
There is such a tool as Virtual ANS, which in turn simulates a real ANS. ANS is a unique photoelectronic synthesizer that literally reproduced the drawn music, reading it as a time/frequency spectrogram. ANS was created by a Soviet engineer-enthusiast and his family in their own home during the 20 years, it was written soundtracks for several films, now it is in a museum and is still maintained in working order. Virtual ANS is a multi-platform (Win/Lin/Mac/iOS/Android) standalone program that extends the functionality of the original device and allows you to literally draw your work in almost arbitrary (72 tones per octave, 720 in general) tune.
I would like to know the opinions of the community, do you recognize Virtual ANS as a legal synthesizer for the current month and (if so) would anyone (someone who is still looking for ideas) be willing to use it?
P.S. I played with it before, it was unusual and very fun! If it is allowed, I will try to create something with it this month. You don't even have to use a midi-keyboard with it

I have done a little bit with Virtual ANS but nothing significant. Personally I'd be curious to hear what you could come up with from it.
It's a simulation of the hardware device and it's a really interesting tool, so I see nothing wrong with it.
Get creative, have fun, and make something - I'll happily listen to what you come up with even if the powers that be declare it unfit for this competition.
just don't make custom brushes from spectrograph readings of your EDM kick library and use those to paste in your 4-on-the-floor dance beat.
(actually, I'm curious how that would sound...)
edit - i remember where the sample import feature is. loading in actual drums gets you... vaguely recognizable drums that lack all power they once had.
import is also a nifty way to make brushes with harmonic content. just be reasonable if doing this for OSC
