More freezing problems with ST2Free and SS2Free

I've read a few times here about freezing problems with these products. And now, I've decided to try both products. It freezes. The VSTi loads, but no matter what sound I choose, the computer quickly freezes up before even loading the sound. Nothing works except shutting it off.
I'm using Tracktion. 1.3ghz celeron with 320 of RAM. Audigy with KX drivers latest version. Latest version of all software. I've tried the download version of ST, and the CM version, same thing. No other plugin or effect does this.
I know my setup is a little scimpy, but I've had NO problems before at all with anything.
Is there a solution I didn't see? I even tried putting EnergyXT in as a vst and loading it in EXT. When I loaded a sound, same thing. Frozen solid. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Anybody have this same problem? Squids? I see you posted on another topic. Are you there to read this?
Why is it that the posts that are controversial and even ignorant at times are answered with several pages of replies within a day, but serious potential customer posts take bumps and sometimes days of waiting to get a response.
I'm just wondering. I'm not trying to be impatient or rude. But it is true.
Well, if anyone has a suggestion, I'd be more than grateful. Thanks.

Well, running a Celeron isn't too good to start with but I don't know if that is the problem or not. I really think you need to talk to IK tech support and see if there is something in your system preventing it from... not freezing. Also, even if you've had other plug-ins work fine on your set up, SampleTank 2 is different than most plug-ins. It is actually fairly complex with it having 32 built-in effects too (like 5 effect plug-ins per channel). So, it does require a bit of CPU and ram to run properly.
Anyway, I am sure you probably want to try the free version first before you might buy the full version. So, see if you can get some answers from IK tech support. Or maybe if you have the opportunity to upgrade your computer I recommend either a P4 or an Athlon. This is a general recommendation as Celerons are known to be on the "should avoid for audio apps" list.
Good luck! Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

Hey, koolkeys...
Turn off "Realtime Priority Mode" on Tracktions' settings page.

The realtime priority mode thing worked. I can't believe I didn't even try it, as it's been suggested for other problems before.
And Squids, thanks for your response. I know that a Celeron isn't the greatest, but it really has done me fine for a long time. I wish I could afford a new setup. And I REALLY want ST2XL. But lately money has been tight from getting married, moving, going back to school, among other things. So it'll have to do now. I do full orchestral arrangements on it just fine, with freezing tracks necessary every so often.
Sorry to be pushy with my post above. It's been a frustrating day. Thanks for your help guys! Cheers!
