Automation Clips in Reason don't Keep Value After Ending(?)

I'm not sure if I can clearly describe this...
In Reason 10, when an automation clip ends, the automated value returns to its default.
What I would like is for the automated value to remain static until it is called upon by an automation clip once again (e.g. like in FL Studio).
Thanks in advance!

P.S. I know that I could create an automation clip with a single static line containing the wanted value and just stretch it over the whole song, but this is the clumsy workstyle I am trying to avoid, if possible.

Peace.

You can't. This it how it works. And it's awesome, frankly.

Btw, in case you're not aware you don't have to draw dozens of bars of flat automation. Just make a one small clip and Ctrl+drag (or Alt?) the edge of the clip to time-stretch it.

Yeah, I know. I read the first forty pages of the manual and found that cool tip before I got bored and swore never to touch an instruction manual again. Hehe.
Thanks! :)
