I'm Currently working on some Hip Hop and R&B projects. They are very near compltion, but I need some strings on them (Violins, Cellos). I've got all the Edirol synths, and they're great, but I'm want a more realistic sound, like VSL. Tried GPO, and ESQWL, but they seemed to synthesized. So does anyone know how to arrange strings, or play any strings, If you do, contact me with a price.

If you're not happy with GPO or EWQLSO, you're basically not going to be happy with anything. However, I'm guesing that the problem here is more how you're using the samples and not the samples themselves. Worth noting that EWQLSO is more designed for full orchestra rather than solo instruments (while I'd say GPO is better with solo instruments).WavesProduction wrote:I'm Currently working on some Hip Hop and R&B projects. Of course they sound like crap if you don't layer, pan them right, and set the right reverb levels (well, no reverb or panning needed for EWQLSO). The trick is in the layers though.

eeeeerrrrrrrrr no disrespect but i think he needs someone to write a string arrangement, not discuss which library sounds best.
And of course they sound like crap if you haven't written the arrangement properly.

Okay I'm not saying that the above metioned sound modules were not good, I'm saying that they're not giving me the sound I desire. That is why I want someone to arrange the strings, because they may know how to arrange, so that they not only create beautiful sound pieces, but also realistic ones.
