Hi Attila

I have a simple drag and drop test do with s1 5(when it is used as plugin). i use control key and drag and drop the track name. there are many empty bars before. see screenshot. maybe thats problem in other drag and drop situations too.

does rapid composer emulate a piano player in that it uses sustain pedal like a piano player would?

I managed to reproduce this when dragging from RC to the EZkeys tab at the top of the window.
The problem is that Studio One closes and deletes the RapidComposer window during the drag operation which is not nice. There is no sensible fix for this but I inserted a workaround so this works now (in the next beta version, hopefully today).

I have access only to Studio One 4, so I could not reproduce the crashes with Studio One 5.

EDIT: please let me know if there is a specific sequence of operations that I should test with Studio One.

thanks for your question. I does not emulate a sustain pedal, but if your piano instrument supports articulations, you can define and use any supported articulation, like sustain.

look at my screenshot at end stand x6 because i use rapidcompser_X64. maybe it fail only on 64 bit ?

the additional notes are correct, i move from s1 browser a .mid to rc. this work

You have to "pin" the RC window in S1. That's a known issue with S1 when dragging midi from some plugins. I had the same issues when I was using BIAB with S1. There is a problem when switching from the tabs.

could you color code the triangles in the Tonnetz? to show major and minor relationships, e.g., minor blue, major red..

no, program change is definitely not included in the dragged MIDI file! I dumped the contents of a dragged MIDI file, and also checked the source code. The only occasion when program change is embedded, is in the standalone, when you use a "General MIDI" instrument, or a GM soundfont. In the plug-in it is never inserted.
