question about fl studio 4

can you record vocals directly into flstudio 4. if so, i was wondering in the simplest way possible how to set it up to do my vocals inside fl. also, are there any good freeware compressors that work well on vocals. thanks in adavance.

Yes, you can record any audio in FL. The exact procedure depends a little on how you set up your drivers, though. The jist of it is that you go to the mixer, set your In: to whatever you want to record from, click the disk icon in the lower right, click the record button on the transport panel, hit play, and gogogo.
