Sounds like E to me
(could be detuned to Eb, but have to check)

Check E Pelog as a possibility.
Or add the D for C Harmonic Major?

Thanks. There's a little guitar lick later in the song which is just a D to E so the C Harmonic Major is a good starting point.

You asked for just the key, or did you mean the scale?
I hear E is centre of gravity of the song. All notes could also belong to the C Major scale, but E is the key.
There can be "accidentals", which are notes not part of the scale but lowered or raised a halve note. Since the composition is so sparse (one lick repeating ad infinitum) imho you have not a lot to analyse apart from the lick itself. Not a lot oif material to work with, a lot left blank.

Yours is the best answer of course given how the op worded the question.
I used a scale since it seems to stay in it throughout the whole song.
Except I should have said '3rd mode of C Harmonic Major', which is the E Phrygian b4, I think.
Cheers,
Steve

it's just E ... with the accidentals etc that get used in rock music. First note of every bar I heard was E. Had some G and G# (minor and major 3rd of E) had some Bs in there (5th of E).
It's E, plus using any other note that the bass player thought sounded F!@#ing good at the time.
There are some weird over-complications going on here. People need to develop their ear rather than taking a slide rule out to come up with weird conjugations.
