Equator2 is great and far easier to work with however Falcon is much more powerful.Rik wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 1:08 amI believe Falcon also has this feature for Granular Synthesis... I'm really interested but would be interested to understand what is unique compared to Falcon or Serum?Whywhy wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 4:52 pm The great thing about Equator 2 is the possibility to modulate in reel time, the granular sample index.( i didn't see that feature a lot ) And you could do your own sample set too.( perhaps, some sample sequencing, wave seq are possible )
Roli: Equator 2 is here !

You can modulated the sampler or granular index: assign an lfo to sample index will change the sample files ( granular sample in Equator 2 are construct like drums kit, one program with a lot of samples and you navigate thru them with the index)Alchemedia wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 1:49 amEquator2 is great and far easier to work with however Falcon is much more powerful.Rik wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 1:08 amI believe Falcon also has this feature for Granular Synthesis... About Falcon and Equator, right, Falcon have more advanced options but making a mpe patch is far more tedious in Falcon. Equator was thinking at the start for mpe and you clearly feel it. All mpe cc or modulators are easily accessible. I love the 2 but they are really different beast. * Equator 2 have a really deep and great choice of analog samples.

Can somebody point me to the "user" directory?

For presets or samples? Ive been trying to ask how we can manage user directories of samples but not getting any answers.
I’d ask support but I’m still waiting after a month about the loop refrigerator bug after I e sent three emails....

Not sure. Somebody said to drag an sfz file into the "user" directory, but I can't find a user directory for presets OR samples.

On my PC it is located here:
C:\Users\<profilename>\Documents\Roli\Equator2\
Folders are there for Presets, Samples and Wavetables.
If you don't have anything there, it's probably because you haven't saved a preset yet.
After you save it, then click on the preset name you gave at the top, and it shows the directory on the right side.

I've now sent a second support request to ask that they answer my first one from over a month ago. They have now not answered the second one since about a week either. What's with these guys. They were really good support when it came to asking questions about my Lumi delivery. I guess a different support team for Equator? I think over a month of ignoring a support email that was acknowledged by an automated email is not cool.

After dragging in my own sample, which went in to "Uncategorized" in Equator's sample browser, I went in to the user sample folder and created a folder, then moved the sample in there. Unfortunately after restarting Equator, it does not see the folder I created, my imported sample is still in "Uncategorized". This is not great that we can't organize our imported samples.Examigan wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 9:43 pm On my PC it is located here:

I think it's also too bad that it can't reference existing audio file locations - it looks like it creates a copy when you import a sample, and saves it has roli's own audio file format.

I’ve had a couple emails back and forth with them about this issue. Bitwig say they have yet to receive an NFR developer copy from Roli, Roli say they have a great relationship with Bitwig. Roli say they are going to actively work on it. I even mentioned the modulation bug in Cypher 2, and they reiterated that bug is going to take probably longer to fix. I mentioned that Bitwig were much quicker to respond as well.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 4:36 pm I've now sent a second support request to ask that they answer my first one from over a month ago. @machinesworking please DM with your contact at Bitwig, I can get them an NFR.
This account is dormant, I am no longer employed by FXpansion / ROLI.
Find me on LinkedIn or elsewhere if you need to get in touch.

Finally found out that my case was closed with no communication. After re-opening the case on the website I finally got an answer. They said they thought the audio reset in Bitwig issue was fixed in an update, however I'm on the latest versions and the behavior is the same. So we'll see what happens next.

Does it normally take a week or so for ROLI support to reply or am I getting special treatment...
I’m so disappointed with this company, last time I emailed them it took nearly two weeks for them to get in touch. Poor!
