Hey Dave, nice one. Going to download asap.

A little hint: the page title (you know, in the <head> section of the HTML) is "Patch Area". I would rename that into "Muon Patch Area", it's very handy for people to bookmark it that way ;) (I changed the bookmark name myself into that).
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

I guess the Future FTP is being hit pretty hard, I'm getting similar download speeds myself.

Warlock, thanks for the tip, I'll just go edit that HTML....

I have a question about DS-404 patches: Are they patches with embedded samples? Or does it use a similar scheme as EXS, HALion, Battery, etc.?

I have a whole bunch of EXS patches uploaded allready, and once that damn CM 50 issue is here I could easily convert them to DS-404 patches without having to upload all the audio content again (I'd just post a link to the proper EXS patch).
Or hm, does DS-404 save it's settings with a song as well, regardless if you loaded a patch or not? That could be a workaround then...

Sascha

DS404 patches contain all the samples needed in one big file, unlike HALion. I could take a look at the format of an EXS file and see if it is convertable....

The plugin can save all of its settings and samples with a song, provided that the host software can handle it. Cubase and Logic versions prior to v5 can't handle this much data, unfortunately. Fruity Loops, Orion, Muzys etc. are all fine.

Dave, do u think u can provide the fixed versions of the patches (with loop poblems on the CM CD) as well?

The links to the fixed versions on CM site are broken. :(

The plan is to make some little self-extracting updaters that only include the new data to correct the patch problems. Those will go up on the CM site fairly soon I think.

If there's broken links on the CM site though you might want to mention it to Red (kevin.redding@futurenet.co.uk)

Will there be Mac versions of these little updaters?
It is very onerous for me to copy the CD to my PeeCee, patch it and then
transfer 600MB of patches back across my network to my Mac. I don't
have a CD burner or any writable removable media after all.....
I had to ask :D

Rachel,

We did obtain some software to do this, but I couldn't get the resulting self-extracting updater to work reliably on our test Mac. I'll be looking into it though, it might take a while. Unfortunately the other alternative is to download the fixed patches from the CM site.

Sorry!

Dave
