Hi all,

If you use bitwig, you will know that their built-in modulation is so nicely implemented. However, if I am using other Linear DAW (cubase, studio one), as far as I know, they didn't offer built-in modulation tool to modulate another VST synth. In this case, I am seeking for your advise to see if there is any such effect plugin in the market.

P.S meldaproduction has one as I recalled but how does it compare to Bitwig?

You could try MUX by Mutools.

Plogue Bidule. Can be used inside your existing host, gives you completely flexible routing etc, includes audio, midi and parameter/automation processing, lets you tie any parameter on any plugin to any other parameter including said processing.

MidiShaper from Cableguys is what I use and I really dig this one. http://www.cableguys.com/midishaper.html

Another one is LFO-Tool but I haven´t used it because I already own MidiShaper. https://xferrecords.com/products/lfo-tool

Weird, I cannot find a price nor a purchase link on their website.

You are right, the shop seems to be under Maintenance or something.
For good reasons the MuTools shop is temporarily closed.
It is expected to reopen in Q1 2021.
Until then you can use the temporary user keys below to unlock MuLab 8 and MUX Modular 8 Plug-In to their full power!
Because the user keys below are temporary, they will expire after some time. If your key expires, please revisit this page to get a new one.

MCCGenerator can do this. But you need to buy the "Free" bundle to activate the modulators. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeFXBundle

but are there seriously no LFO's, sequencers or envelopes in those DAWs which you can use for modulation?

Most DAWS do this through midi and the routing is a bit more complicated than Bitwig. The trade-off being that you can then use anything with a midi out as your modulator which allows for some very nifty setups. I just use Bitwig when I want to make super modulated stuff these days though. Get some sound design done in there and dump it into another DAW to arrange and finish up.
