This is one reason it's good to have 7 distinct personalities, so you can solo this kind of stuff.
Of course, you're the only person who can hear it, but it's really nice when you are all on the
same page for once.

Listen chaps ... there's one last chance ...
I'm done for, I've got a gammy leg, I'm going fast, I'll never get through ...
But some of you might ...
So you'd better eat me.

Eat you, sir?

Yes. Eat me.

Uuuuggghhh! With a gammy leg?

You don't have to eat the leg, Thompson, there's still plenty of good meat ...
look at that arm.

It's not just the leg, sir.

What do you mean?

Well, sir ... it's just that ...

Why don't you want to eat me?

I'd rather eat Johnson, sir. (he points at fourth sailor)

Oh, so would I, sir.

"This is one of the most famous traditional songs and dance (min'yō) in Japan. It is a Japanese sea shanty that is said to have been first sung by the fishermen of Hokkaidō, northern Japan."

Alan Watts (and/or Carl Sagan and/or Neil Degrasse Tyson and probably a lot of other stoned mystics and scientists) has that quote about how humanity is the universe's way of examining itself.

Between sea shanties and Bernie's mittens appearing every damn place on the internet, I now feel like the internet is the internet's way of reporting on itself.

I am asking you once again, bully boys, to take your leave and go.

I would just like to say sea shanties have nothing to do with pirates as some seem to think. I'm not sure what songs pirates would have sung, but my guess it would be more like this: (not for childrens ears) rated 18
