Hi All!
So which daw has the most features, gotta be Logic or Cubase right?
Reapers getting there but I can think of about 20 missing which I'm sure Logic has.
Some features I'm not sure any daw has and if anyone could tell me if they have it'd be great:-
The ability to convert You Tube clips to audio (stereo or mono) by maybe pasting the URL into it somewhere.
The ability to label tracks by voice (natively in the daw) as there is a VST that does all sorts of stuff in a daw by voice.
Thanks!

Why would Nuendo have more, because it has more video orientated features because it wasn't released first?ReleaseCandidate wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 6:05 pm Certainly not Cubase!

Yes, 2 Video thumbnail tracks instead of one, better/more support for surround and 3D formats, overall better post production support, support for game engines, and ...Eclectrophonic wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 6:21 pmWhy would Nuendo have more, because it has more video orientated features because it wasn't released first?

I've tried Cubase 10, and Logic in various iterations. I found the bundled fx and instruments far superior in Logic....Alchemy and Sculpture are pretty cool instruments to get for the asking price, and Alchemy was a free update!!!
Other than the above, I am biased in favour of Logic's workflow and features because I am so used to them.
The other main issue I've had with Cubase is it is harder on my CPU than logic. That is a significant 'feature' for me.

Features?
Or "features".
Nuendo wins on the first one.
Cakewalk had the second in abundance. I couldn't get the demo to stay open more than about 5 minutes.
In the end, it's more important for a DAW to have the few features you want rather than the gazillion you don't.

No, Samplitude/Sequoia lacks quite some features comparing to Cubase, specially regarding MIDI. But the audio part is way better, I'm not sure about more features, I just prefer it.

Normally I would say Cubase/Nuendo, but there's not much of a Clip launching feature there, so at this point probably Logic.
The think about these sorts of debates is each DAW has some fatal flaws, and superpowers. It's not enough to list features, it's what you'll use it for. For instance I use DP10 mostly, but it's expensive, and the markers aren't assignable to numbers on your keyboard like Logic and Reaper do. So using it to collaborate with a drummer isn't as easy as Reaper or Logic. In this case Reaper won out because we both own older macs and my version of Garageband is useless. Apple do not make it easy to download older versions of Logic or Garageband, otherwise it would be ideal.
Reaper isn't my favorite for writing in though, MIDI wise I like DP, but MPE wise Bitwig wins that battle.
It's what you want to use the software for that determines it's "features", Cubase DP etc. could have them all, but if my drummer has to spend $500 to basically have a playable, easily loopable project we're working on it's going to be Reaper or Bitwig. If he has to get a new laptop to run the latest version of Logic it doesn't matter how "cheap" Logic is.
