Yep. I’ll never buy anything from Behringer or Music Tribe.

Beta testing completed.

Bog standard funk/pop sounds, which really tell nothing about the authenticity of the sound.

Well... it's a question what you can expect from a 2 minute video.

You can look at it that way or you can just appreciate that we have an update I suppose. I'm guessing we will see more and more videos from now on.

Yeah, but it can it do Jump?

Don't mind me, I've always been a "glass half empty" kind of guy. ;)

Of course it's nice to have an update.

It does sound nice in that demo, and it's nice to see an analog poly with a 5 octave keybed. I still don't expect to see these in the US until 2022. I've got a Prophet-10 here and this may make a nice companion piece. If it had a decent MIDI implementation (which would be a first for a Behringer analog clone), I'd consider ditching my System-8 for this. The S8 is a nice-ish controller, and the S8 plug-out has a nice hard/modern sound, but I really don't think the "analog" sounds are much to write home about and have each been better by other products (TAL for the J-8/101, Softube with the Model 84).

As much as there are aspects of Behringer's business practices that I don't like, I do hope they pull this off.

I don't have an issue with anything what they're doing. But, I guess if I would state the reasons for that, this thread would go deep HPC, so, I won't bother.

Let's just say that I think the people criticizing Behringer for what they do miss some points, massively.

Sounds a bit darker/thicker then my OB-6, can't wait to get my hands on this. Also hope it has a great keybed. Anyone know if there's any info on that keybed?

Up to this point most newer Behringer keybeds have been Fatar.

Post

AFAIK no, they have their own keybed production. DeepMind keybed definitely doesn't feel like any Fatar I've ever played (and I played a lot of 'em).

Anyways, this thing sounds phenomenal.

Post

I think the keybeds -specifically on DM- are from the Chinese OEM 'Medeli'
