its 125% (recommend)

Post

that's it tek, when i switched to 100% it loads normally (nice call), but the rest of my screen is too small for my old eyes.

Post

Are you using it on a Laptop ? What's your screen resolution ? Does it also happen with the VST 2 version or just the VST 3 ?

My screen is 1920 by 1080, yeah, this is a travel machine, it's an hp with a high rez screen.

And, no offense, but you do not know when there will be Apple Silicon builds of any of the major DAWs. In all likelihood, we won't see an updated Ableton build for at least a year. S1 will certainly take longer. We are in for a fairly extended transition period.
so you have more info than a dev? how did you get that info, or is it guess work?
Plugin devs are just people, with no more insight into the release plans of the major DAW publishers than the rest of us.

Ok I've seen someone else report issues with scaling on a laptop although they didn't have the scrambled gui issue.

What happens if you switch back to 125% scaling and use the Small skin ?

Hey tek. its just the vst3, and other devs have had this issue with reaper and vst3's in the past *audio damage and *venemode have dealt with this issue and vst3, so it might be on reapers side, might want to ask them.

Post

small skin is the same issue.

Post

Can you just use the VST 2 version for the time being ?

yep, now that i know the issue im good with the vst2 for now, just letting you guys know.

Post

Ok I'll pass it on. For the record I've seen a lot of people on the Vital forums report issues with its gui and scaling using the VST 3 version.

Not sure where the fault lies but let's see what Synapse says......

final thought: also is probably the issue with it jumping to the same spot in the 8.75 mb sample when i hit "find loop region".

Except they don't. The new M1 MacBook has roughly the performance of a Core i7. It's just different for the sake of being different. Of course, it also makes their own software development easier and if everyone else has to bust a gut to accommodate whatever is easiest for Apple, then why would Apple care? With countless millions of unquestioning cult-members to lap it all up, they don't need to care about anyone or anything but what's best for them.
tech moving forward... is a good thing.
Everyone else manages to advance their tech without f**king over their customers and third party suppliers but Apple are happy to do it on a whim. After all, Windows has been happily working on ARM for several years now and nobody has had to jump through a million hoops just to get back to where they were previously, because no-one has been forced to make the move. But Apple leave you no choice, you do it Apple's way or you can f**k off. Smart people will choose the latter.

Don't hold your breath. I complain about it on every beta cycle but get shouted down by the sound designers who never actually make any music, so it's not likely to improve. I've given up on DUNE betas. I downloaded the first couple in this cycle but realised that it is so long since I used DUNE for anything that I can't see the point in bothering to test it any more.

just wondering, do you ever get tired of it? i've never seen anyone as angry about everything as you are. meanwhile, do some real research, don't just make things up (the M1 vs a core i7).

you don't like apple; who cares? most apple users don't feel f*cked over; we use macs, and the OS, because we choose to. that's millions of people.

it's 2021, the 'mac vs pc' thing is OLD. and music is made by people, the tools don't define the music, the people making the music do.

just breathe... and let's get this thread back on track.
