20 years ago some plugin developers told me, that I should use Cubase instead of Fruity Loops, because Cubase is professional and Fruity Loops is just a toy. Today I'm using almost every known "highend" plugin for producing and mastering tracks in many genres with FL Studio and with lifetime updates I can do this for free till I die!

Yes, since years the wrapper is really good and has a very good compatibility! I also tried Cubase, Ableton 7,8,9 and Sonar, but over the years I had the fewest problems with FL Studio. Of course, you can also work very good with the other DAWs and I spent the most time in FL Studio, so it was also easier for me to "fix" problems there, A 20 years user of the other DAWs will probably tell the same.melomood wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:13 am and it's not a bad vst instrument/wrapper

And yes, the included plugins are really good, especially for beginners! But meanwhile I mostly use 3rd Party stuff.

weirdly enough, especially considering price/feature ratio, i would consider mixcraft. e.g. video editing, score editor, step editor/recording, excellent 32bit plugin bridge, ableton live like clip launching / non linear sequencing and for ambient music the ability to search freesounds.org from within the daw is truly amazing.
for a more arcane approach i would suggest buzz... but it is well... buzz
