I saw the crash reports. I am sorry to tell you that they are NOT the latest version! You ARE running v2.9.8. Please update to the latest version.

SM2 starts up and runs just fine in Bitwig 3.3 so far (Rev.10399, Win 8.1) but the left ’Type' column of the browser only shows 'Bass' below '(All)' ... no pads, leads, arps, etc...

Are we suppose to be able to favourite the patches in the Online section? When i do (in testing), they are only favourited temporarily.

Thanks very much for looking at the reports! The installer says 2.9.9.Rev 10399 and the installed VST plugin Get Info says 2.9.9 Created 18 January 2021. It scans fine but crashes on open.

I would advise a clean installation:

Delete:

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/SynthMaster2.vst
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/SynthMaster2FX.vst
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/SynthMaster2.component
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/SynthMaster2FX.component
/Library/Application Support/KV331 Audio/SynthMaster

reinstall rev 10399

I just downloaded 2.9.9 and the installer says 2.9.9, but after installing, info on the vst drop-down menu still says 2.9.4? I check for updates via the gui and it says I'm running the latest version.

Did you read the clean install fix posted just above?

I do NOT know what vst drop down menu is. Is that something specific to your DAW ?Our RECOMMENDED method is right click -> check for updates (as you did). When you right clicked, what was the revision number?

If SynthMaster says you're running the latest version, you can trust SynthMaster

Yeah so I checked the latest revision via right click and it says 10399, so all good.

Works fine here with build 10404 & Bitwig 3.3.1 ( 2020-12-15 build as my upgrade plan has expired )

Previous 10399 build of Synthmaster worked fine too.

This is on Windows 10 though, not Win 8.1.

Can not reproduce:

There must have been something wrong with the old config file, no idea what. Got it out of the way, re-installed SM2, all back to normal
