I hate subscription plan it is a anal subscription !Lazarus451 wrote: Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:27 am I usually don't get the negative comments about DAW's, but this Reason+ was funny. I accidentally subscribed to it (no confirmation page and auto login) and as a Suite owner it seems to mean 20€/month for some soundpacks.
Hope I'm wrong.
Sounds like a deal: "If you own a copy of Reason, you can save 50% off your first year of Reason+ if you sign up for an annual subscription."
Reason+ = subscription model (20€ month)

But that's exactly what I am saying! Instead of worrying about whether or not you'll have internet working to connect to your subscription (to pay for the taxi in my post) or even to access your perpetual license, live a little and take advantage of the moments when you can have this access, regardless whether it's $20/month or $400 upfront + $150 every 2 years. Some people here seem to be obsessed about the money and endlessly try to optimise value vs. cost against some weird, made up scenarios not to mention wrong definition of 'value'.Kypresso wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:29 amNo ones talking about dying but about how to live happily. You get very weird sometimes, go outside, take a break from the internet and chill out for a while.antic604 wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:08 pmSure.Benutzername wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 1:27 pmBut if your internet connection has a hiccup then the nice girl will just spit in your face...
With that attitude just go to the woods, dig a hole and bury yourself there.
This way you'll have full control of when & how you die, perfectly happy and (spit) free![]()
Ultimately the happiness is in the music you're gonna be able to create and journey you take to get there. Not in the fact that you can access the files 20 years later or the fact that you managed to create it in the cheapest possible way.
I really wonder how you could read my post and the reply to it, to come to the conclusion that you did? Because we seem to agree 100% here.

Because - for the thousandth time - it's not an offer for you. Right now, if you have 11 Suite you have 90-95% of what's in Reason+. For you, the value proposition might be different in 3-5 years when Reason+ will already be on Reason 14/15, there will be double the amount of REs included and maybe some other perks that they're planning.Lazarus451 wrote: Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:27 am I usually don't get the negative comments about DAW's, but this Reason+ was funny. Why get worked up about something that doesn't concern you and isn't targeted at you?

Thanks. That's a very deep & thorough analysis and an important point in the discussion

I just put my license up for sale. No, this is not the only reason. Falcon 2 and all the other plugins in line plus Ableton Suite 11 are too

Well, being a suite owner and getting four Reason+ mails since 27'th of january might confuse...antic604 wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:16 am Why get worked up about something that doesn't concern you and isn't targeted at you?![]()

One probably should stop using computers altogether if getting e-mail confuses them

Well a bit special these ones, as RS knows how a large portion of the community feels and still send them at a this pace even to suite owners. Have to admit even I felt slightly annoyed at the fourth one. It will pass...antic604 wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:54 amOne probably should stop using computers altogether if getting e-mail confuses them![]()

Yup, I certainly feel targeted. Have started replying to the emails with "please only send me non-reason+ communications, I have no interest in subscriptions." It doesn't bounce, but I doubt anyone is reading...

Reason is off their rocker, as the smallest of the “big” Daws, to emulate the biggest of the big , and coincidentally the worst as well, Pro tools - and their overpriced, insane subscription model
Reason and Reaper were great alternatives for their cost, and now Reason is knocking themselves off their own list imo if they continue do subscriptions

Good idea! I'll try that. Maybe even possible to create a filter that replies...imrae wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:12 pmYup, I certainly feel targeted. I unsubscribed from there emails but still got them.
Then I noticed this morning there is a second "unsubscribe" from "ALL" at the bottom , so I clicked that and hope that does it now. Sneaky.

Why on earth do these companies keep pulling this nonsense? I left Bitwig for this reason and I was going to purchase Reason but not after this. What gives? I'll stick with FL Studio and Live.

That's pretty hillarious, since Bitwig isn't a subscription and Reason+ is just an option and you can stil buy Reason & upgrade it normally for a foreseeable futurelpr wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:04 pmWhy on earth do these companies keep pulling this nonsense?
