I'm not 100% clear on this. I was hoping to update to Reason 12 from version 10 thinking it would arrive sometime soon but now with the new subscription announced, does that mean they will not release any new versions for outright purchase? Or will they continue to release full versions?
I fear they will just go completely subscription since it's hard to find a link for purchasing the version 12 upgrade. Seems as though they are discouraging it at this point even though they offer it...

Yes, you'll still be able to get Reason 12 perpetual license (like now) and you can still buy REs.killmaster wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:20 pmI'm not 100% clear on this. Reason+ is just an additional option for those that want it and see value in it.
Agree, they're way too aggressive pushing Reason+ down our throats with website redesign & e-mails, but everything's still available "the old way".killmaster wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:20 pmI fear they will just go completely subscription since it's hard to find a link for purchasing the version 12 upgrade. Regarding "fears" of going sub-only? Well, that's possible for any and all DAW developers. For now they claim they're also committed to Reason DAW and perpetual licenses.

There is no 12 yet. You'll get Reason 12, but not Intro, they have cancelled that (together with Suite).killmaster wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:20 pm I'm not 100% clear on this. Hmm, so trying to find out my price for an annual + membership, they subscribed me to a monthly trial which removed my option for the 50% off if I switched to a year. And they don’t take PayPal. The most deceptive and dishonest user experience I’ve ever encountered.
As a long time reason user, 1.0, I hope they go out of business.
