OK, I got the Cherry Audio PolyMode, I also have the Xils PolyM.
I prefer the sound of the PolyM. But both are nice to have. The PolyMode's Pads are very good. But not too fond of the other sounds. Especially brass is thin sounding.

Arturia did that, just doesn’t look like it at all and is way more powerful to confuse you. Its called Pigments...johnwoo wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:37 am There are gems never emulated and it will nice to see an Arturia MatrixBrute remade as a Vsti ...
Any dev can create what is fun to them. I prefer devs with an artistic vs. a business approach...
Btw. MatrixBrute is a clone itself, just get a VCS emulation... In this case they made it sound different on purpose...

Same here! I'd rather save some money for a TAL software emulation which deals with aliasing right from the start. Just don't like it when something is mentioned a million times, but the dev remains silent about it. Makes me feel they're just not competent enough to deal with the challenge.midi_transmission wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:40 am That's also my top issue with CA, seems not to be much interested in maintenance or enhancement of existing products. At least that's unfortunately my impression from my limited experience. Still like their stuff a lot, but that has stopped me getting more products from them currently.

I agree. A developer of analogue emulations (that's how most of their modules and synths are marketed) should take minimizing aliasing as a priority.Dark Fiber wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:40 pmSame here! A HQ mode, like U-he's synths have, can fix the aliasing without giving up lower CPU options for customer that just don't care about that. The HQ mode of the M*4 modules in VM minimizes the aliasing issues so it's possibly within Cherry Audio's software architecture.
I hope the coming update of VM will finally address these issues.

FlowStone, done by Kevin Brown. He has stated many times that his emulations does not sound like the originals. He only went for the 'Architecture' of the synths he is emulating.Arashi wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 11:15 pmNice. I was wondering how accurate it is. Never played with a real one, but I thought the plugin sounds pretty decent.wwjd wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 10:40 pm That sums it up. I had to LOGIN to a couple instruments, then was good to go. I plugged in my MG-1 to the same interface, to the same Studio Monitor and the VSTi was 99% accurate. Any difference would be real differences tween old models. My MG is getting old, and the oscillators getting wiggy (non musical) and the SURREALISTIC is able to replace it. Plus, do so much more.
It's Win32 only anyway, but yeah, this looks like something thrown together in SynthEdit. Probably not great.wwjd wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 10:48 pm This MIGHT feel somewhat in the ballpark. Looks like it is short some controls, but there is not much else out there. Doesn't sound like it at all, of course. I have not used this.

So, POLYMODE....
I'm really enjoying playing it, sounds fine to me. Read elsewhere, someone who owned a real Polymoog, AND that other soft version, said the Polymode was more accurate. FWIW. Either way, is FUN to use, sounds great, and I enjoy supporting a company that is blasting out these prices to sell MORE, than charge too much and sell less. I hope this concept works out well for Cherry

Hi KVR friends,
We've created a new, short video that explains the unusual architecture of the Polymoog, and the Polymode Synthesizer. It's well worth watching this to understand all the cool and unusual timbres and textures you can create with this instrument.
Thanks for all the great feedback!

I have bought the ca2600 but also find the silence about the aliasing issues gentleclockdivider and others mentioned very irritating. It’s a pity because cherry audio choose interesting synths to emulate (like the polymoog) but their way of dealing with criticism seems half-hearted. Pity!Dark Fiber wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:40 pmSame here! I'd rather save some money for a TAL software emulation which deals with aliasing right from the start. In their defense (sort of) I think we’re asking for a fundamental change in all 3 of these synths. Do I understand they ported the sound engine of these from VM, and the aliasing issue was there? For $30 I think we’re expecting too much.abi wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:35 pmI have bought the ca2600 but also find the silence about the aliasing issues gentleclockdivider and others mentioned very irritating.
