New 'effects' in each of the two 'filters' would be great, especially a compressor and saturator. I use sc1 alot in ext3 in Kushview Element since 'multi out' is a bit wonky in ext3. Shure i could always add a compressor for the kick drum and snaredrum etc. for example inside Element, but would be great to see a compressor or as a new effect in shortcircuit at some point
Cool that you guys are working on this

I agre with both of you on this. In zygulis defence, it would be really cool, but on your defence, i suppose it would just mean more work, and even pointless.EvilDragon wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 3:19 pmI am in two minds about that. I would kinda like Surge to just keep on being an awesome synth without having a huge dependency of multisamples. I guess you could say I share Urs' thoughts on this matter.zyguli wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 3:02 pm That's great! Having sampler features from shortcircuit in Surge would be even better!

Hold up with feature requests, we should first get it working as-is without any new features.

Spectacular news. I owned both Surge and Shortcircuit back in college. While installing the latest Surge build last week, I literally thought "I wonder why Shortcircuit hasn't received the same treatment...".

The fact is that these functions added to samples can create a difference.
This is a TS808 drumkit combined with some VA features...(VSTi)

Funny thing, I literally had the exact words "this is huge" in my mind when I (just a couple of minutes ago) noticed this, logged in and went for this reply - and now I noticed nineofkings has just said the same thing
! Yes! This is just that huge!
Thank you very much, everyone involved! Shortcircuit deserves a new round now in the 2020s. It's a lovely creative sampler, and the results you have already pulled off with Surge speak for themselves. Really happy about this, hah
