I don’t know what it is, but the way the sound changes with high feedback levels is super nice.El°HYM wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 8:17 pm Did I hear, passive inductor filters inside the feedback - loop?

Its the Tubby Altec 9096 passive - filter, also known as the 'Big Knob'.

The Westfinga, very nice! Yepp, my bad, I was just referring to the Tubby Workflow using it in the feedback/return to get those hipassing/phasing feedback-loops. So my point was actually, that it would be cool, if Audio Thing could also include this Option in their new Plugin.

No no, just kind of posted my thought a bit out of context. Good video btw.

Wow, thank you for the demo. Sounds really really cool!DMG68 wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 7:17 pm I was able to move on this a little quicker than I thought.
I'd really like a non resonant high pass filter in the feedback path of the delay, it's sorely missing. Running the hardware thru a mixer, as was spoken about higher up the thread, would allow use of the channel eq to cut the low end.
Here's the demo:
Also, Alborosie just released a Live Dub Mix using the plugin:

Before working on the plugin with Alborosie, I was working on a plugin with just the filter emulation as I became really obsessed with its sound. I think that putting it in send can really shine on a full mix, while on single tracks I always prefer to put it as an insert.DMG68 wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:47 pm The hardware? Depends on what I want to do, sometimes inserted and sometimes on a send, so in parallel. This is the filter.

There’s a real skill to using it properly, I don’t have it all figured out yet. Of course, the hardware is one channel, so that stops me putting it on the mix. Even on a send running select sounds through it works good. You do get a little more phasey sound that way, with the filter in parallel. You can get some real spikes on a certain sounds with the resonance on these things. Multiple sounds to the same reverb with the filter on it sounds really good too.audiothing wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 1:18 amBefore working on the plugin with Alborosie, I was working on a plugin with just the filter emulation as I became really obsessed with its sound.
