Tone2 Warlock (synthesizer) - available now!

Has anyone found out how to save a new patch ? I have chosen an empty soundbank, played round with the randomn button till I found something useful, then I went to "file">"save patch">, then the opening file browser leads me to my "documents" folder but there is no Tone2/Warlock there. In the VST 64 folder, where Icarus has its presets, there is no Warlock folder too. Any idea where/if the Warlock preset folder with the banks is or any other method to save that patch ?

I asked this earlier and I can't find any Tone 2 or Warlock folders anywhere. Documents,Program Data, App Data Roaming etc, checked them all.

So I just made a Warlock folder in Documents. I save my patches and Bank in there.

Think I will wait a little if someone may come up (at least the souddesigners in here that made presets for the factory at least should) with another solution, but otherwise this is an option.

I've just done a full system search and don't find any .t2b bank files so I'm assuming the factory patches are baked into the plugin.

There are 6 "Empty Soundbank" slots but I don't see any way to permanently save a patch in them. There's got be something we're missing.

During the installation it does say "creating directories" but I can't find them.

EDIT: OK I just tried the standalone and it does have a function "Auto Save Bank on Exit" and it does work....sort of. The patch will show the next time you load the standalone but will disappear when you select another bank.

Wouldn't mind hearing some of the presets solo without any reverb or external processing. Despite the videos posted I still have no real idea of what this synth sounds like. Guess I'll have to keep my GAS in check and wait for a demo.

As aked/posted above: as sounddesigner for the factory bank I would assume you should know how to save a patch ? So it would be really great if you could share that wisdomn cause the usual, assumed way just wont work for me (and seemed I am not the only one).

Is it a Sixth? It's not 6 Octaves as the next notch is 3 Octaves up.

I'm guessing the frequency is x6 in Hz. Makes sense since 3 octaves is x8. x6 would be two octaves plus a perfect fifth.

Oh ok thanks that makes sense I guess. I wonder why the Course Tune Knob wouldn't just work in semitones maybe +/- 36 rather than arbitrary amounts ? I got confused by the labels.

Oh well it is what it is. The intervals work fine for a two Osc synth.

I will say that many of the patches are HOT. I mean +3 db and over clipping hot.

I do like my patches hot but that's a bit much. I know some people complain about factory patches even at -6db.

Not a big deal to turn your mixer channel down but just a heads up.

It would help if the "Help" tab opened a manual instead of just the Tone 2 site.

From what I read I gathered the "early access" version was the completed project and only the marketing was left to do before release.

I'm not quite sure that's the case. I don't regret buying Warlock at all but there are questions like what is the proper patch/bank save method etc.

if the fader is at unity and the preset is clipping, that is shit patch management.
drive that signal into an effect plugin... turn the fader down it's still gonna be smashing into the effect plugin. It's unprofessional.

i'm not just directing that at Tone2, so many synth presets clip at unity. it sucks
