I start few projects development in different directions, but wanna keep it growin as idea and sound, one is percussive other more like cyberpunk, clubish stuff and it's amazing how easy is to make anything with Warlock inside the project.
Still haven't explore entire detuning system, cause there is so many new stuff there, especially if man need massive sound presence it's there by default.

I haven't bought the Warlock (yet anyway)..... But gladiator had empty slots in banks and as you bought Tone2 preset banks, they would fill up.....
Not sure if it is the same concept here.

That may be what the Empty Soundbanks are for but new banks will have to be added to the .dll or.vst3 files themselves I imagine.

You can save patches into the Empty Soundbanks but they'll disappear when you select a new bank so are not permanent.

I think Markus already may have hinted how they will come (as t2b bank files).
In Gladiator they came either as .t2k's (for which I think those were already built in just the license opens them) or .glb files, which you install in a specific location and the plugin reads them and loads them into the reserved slots.

Yes custom banks are saved a .t2b files rather than .fxb files but there is no installed file structure for Warlock unlike some other Tone 2 plugins I gather. All the factory patches are baked into the .dll or .vst3 files so I'm thinking that a plugin update will be required to add new banks to the factory list.

Not a big deal as it's a small file and updating will be easy.

On the subject of third party banks, Xenos and I did a commercial bank for Firebird+ way back in the day and I'm wondering if there is a way to convert old Firebird .fxb files to .t2b files just to see if those patches still hold up today.

Feel free to post some audio from Warlock whilst wondering about that old Firebird bank :)

So far works in general for my needs even if its really not what I would call "comfortable" and goes way beyond what is now in Icarus 2 for example.

But whats really a big disadvantage so far: you just cant load two of your own soundbanks at the same time cause a soundbank you created always loads in the one slot "customn" :(.

I just tried with one bank for Randomn created patches and one bank for favourites from the factory banks but impossible to load BOTH at the same time into Warlock (they go into "customn" and kick the one that is already there just out), that is really a big restriction, hope Markus could fix that anyway cause I really would like to make instrument/style orientated randomn banks and of course load them TOGETHER into one instance.

I don't want to be responsible for influencing people's decision to purchase or pass on Warlock. We all make different music and need different sounds so what I may like may not interest you at all.

I like Warlock a lot but others may not. Better to wait for the Demo version and make up your own mind. Or roll the dice like I did and buy into the early access.

I'm happy I did.....

After reading people's complaints about the patch handling in other plugins I'm afraid those same complaints will apply to the current system in Warlock.

I don't have an issue with it because in the end it's a few seconds and a couple of mouse clicks.

But Warlock is only at version 1.0 so no telling what the future holds.

Is there a way to change which bank the patch is in? I pressed random while on a stock preset, and saved that preset, but can't seem to change the bank its in.

experimental percussia is what i'm up to now, will see what will pop :)

Sorry, thats not just a complain in general but the preset system/management for me its just a mess at the moment and I would call some behaviour of it just a bug.

Just wrote the problems I have with it in a post before (only one customn bank possible, second one kicks the firsts out) but as I now realized that when you open ANY other of the included factory soundbanks all the content of the customn soundbank with my personal bank loaded is just GONE (without even closing the VST !!!), no, that really has to be fixed.

It is an early-access version and Markus already said that he plans to change something in the preset system so I am fine with it as a tryout-version for the moment but you cant just honestly work with it when all your loaded patches got lost once you change the soundbank.

So far we received a lot of very positive feedback from the customers.
Fact is also that Warlock is rock-solid and working very well. During one week we have not received a single crash report. Also not a single report about glitches. The only things that have been reported are some typos in the tooltips (I wrote oscialltors instead of oscillators), a hand full of patches where the volume is too loud (has already been adressed).

I also already posted that I will further enhance the patch management.
Presets will not longer be forgotten when you load a new bank.
It will be also possible to auto-load custom soundbanks.

Please don't distribute missinformation or rumors. There have never been plans to sell soundbanks from our side. This would not be profitable, since anyone can create good patches with just clicking on the random-button for a couple of times.
The empty soundbanks are reserved for future content that ships with Warlock. I assume that many people will send us patches they have created. We will listen to them and if they are good they can then be placed in these slots and included to future updates.
Since Warlock also comes as a VST 3.7 as well as a VST 2.4 plugin I had to reserve the 'empty soundbank' slots in advance to keep compatibility with future updates.

I never said you said, i was hypothesizing why they were empty banks and using a possible parallel with Gladiator.

But now you have explained it and for sure my theory was incorrect.

With regard to you blaming someone else AGAIN, Steinberg this time.
I also am not aware of any other vst 3 plugin that took this route.. Are you?

I am not aware of any other VST plugin that comes as VST 3.7 as well as VST 2.4. Trust me, this was VERY difficult to do, since Steinberg wants to get rid of VST 2.4.
