do you lose notes on a non drum synth?

Post

Yes. Actually, the main thing that has me pissed off is that I haven't even used a real drum synth, only the VA that comes with SX and my V-Synth.

You sure you moved the file into the SX root folder...just that you said the folder was already there. I did that with my SX, but moved the file directly into the SX folder. I'm assuming that even something as small as keeping the file inside its folder may have some effect. When I moved my file, I could then do as it said on the Steinberg site, and hide all emulated drivers. Not that it actually gave me midi problems to start with, but it has to be better to use your genuine drivers.

Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree, but the help file at Steinbug specifically states you need to drop the file into the SX folder, not the folder with the file in it. :?

Thanks kritikon. That actually got the non-emulated drivers to show up. Alas I'm still having the problem with the random notes farting out even after disabling the emulated ports. Any further ideas?

I was thinking about getting an audio laptop for X-mas, but now this seems to be inevitable. f**k, and I really needed some monitors and was looking forward to a real analog this X-mas too. :(
