Yeh, thanks- it happened as you said! I got a coupon with the purchase (nice gesture KH) so I thought I would, upgrade but even with the coupon its 70E so I may hang back a while and just see what I need...plenty to play with for now

I was worried that I would not be able to adjust things in pre-sets I relay needed to adjust to make something fit in a mix, but I see that even if you don't own a snapin, if the sound designer has put it in a macro you can tweak it, so that is pretty cool...and a lot let you turn down reverb which is real useful (although probably what I will buy with my coupon as I really think I need an adjustable reverb!)

Got in as well. PP with all snapins and preset banks. Pretty amazing.
Have been on the Serum and Zebra fence for ages but not anymore.
Particularly loving the Polychrome and Tremor sound banks. Quite remarkable how PP even suits ambient and organic.
Would be nice to see a granular engine as well. PP could rule the synth world.

So the filter is a snap-in that needs to be purchased separately, does this mean that the basic version of PP comes without any filter? That would make it a very limited and extremely overpriced synth.

No it does come with a filter.

I had also missed (before I purchased) that 'snapheap' (the free snapin host) also loads in PP and has a lot of really useful pre-sets including a nice shimmer reverb etc with access to some of the controls through macros. You also get a 30E coupon when you buy (I assume it wasn't just me

) so you can add a reverb or extra filter free...

Question, for the ladder filter, as it’s used as an effect, is it polyphonic like a normal filter? That is one area I wish KH would expand, is the variety of filters. A function generator would be cool too, maybe a low pass gate option, particularly with the modular nature of the product. Just some thoughts, I really enjoy phaseplant.

Like zvenx said, the basic filter comes with the standard version, as well as a per voice distortion fx unit loaded into the generator section. And you can basically load as many filters as you want, so you can already create quite a few shapes with it.

The pro version also comes with comb, ladder & formant filter as snap-ins, so they are loaded into the fx-section. Ultimate has Slice EQ on top, which is a really good, fully modulate-able EQ that you can use for custom filters, especially since all the fx in Phase Plant can also be used per voice (stand out feature imo).

All the fx can be polyphonic. You have to enable the little "POLY" button on the top of each lane. All the preceding fx lanes also have to be polyphonic. Meaning, you turn on polyphony on lane 1 and keep lane 2 and 3 mono to save CPU. However if you want to turn lane 3 polyphonic, lanes 2 and 1 have to be as well. So best to plan it out a bit, since it can be pretty CPU intensive. That said, I also wish there would be some more filter shapes and oscillator / waveshaping fx.

I have seen theories that if you don't use or give away your coupons you don't get as many.
Have no idea if it is true, but for sure I didn't use my January one, give it away and got another in February.

Yes it was my first, other than the free snap in bundle in 2018. Purchased ultimate from pluginboutique dec 23. Maybe it’s because of where I bought it.

I think who gets coupons when, how often is still a mystery to us on the outside.

Although I am grateful for them, I don't think they are as useful unless you really need something then and there, their sales are usually much more economically beneficial to the end user (that is you save more money in sales vs their coupons) in general.
