I didn't get a voucher this year. I did get vouchers in the past though.

Awesome. Thanks!

Mayyyybe...
Sounds potentially promising, but vague. I understand the reason for that, but it doesn't help decision making as to the APD deal for those of us who are disinclined to purchase any further non-MPE synths.
Hahah... ok then. MPE is definitely on the horizon... I was just trying to be a little mysterious about it.

I Kid I kid.

Was this your first Kilohearts purchase?
rsp
I am special, but also a first time purchaser, which I suspect is the more likely answer

I bought the $99 + 3 packs deal so a coupon was an unexpected bonus (already cashed in against the reverb which was something I always thought should have been included so... :tu: )
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Have to agree with this. It looks interesting, but doesn't include any of the filters or FX... Can't even consider something using this pricing model.

It does come with (basic) filters and some fx. I do consider just the basic version to be incomplete though.

Yes it comes with filters as standard, in the modulator section. These filters are unlimited in use and fully customizable, plus can also be modulated by other modulators and generators, including the osc's themselves.

So in short, you really don't need the filter snap-ins.

There are a few snap ins you definitely don’t really need like the filter and the distortion that are already in Phase Plant. As the snap in world exists as fx only plug ins it makes sense that they are also available separately. If reverb had been included you would have had all of the basic fx you need.

Just another point on fx plugins that may be of use to anyone on the fence (as I was for a very long time) about not having access to all of the fx. You can change a pre-set (and there are a lot of them!) with snap ins you don't own, so you can feed in different oscillators to say premium fx (you just cant change the fx parameters unless it has a break out macro, but many do, but for some types of fx that may not be an issue)

For example, there are some pre-set in the tutorial section that just have say the 'ensemble' or 'bitcrush' fx in with its key controls as macros...so you can build on that what you want.

Although it is quite nice to have to filter just the 'fx' such as reverb

Having played with this a bit further, the 'free' 3 band EQ can be tweaked and modulated to pretty much act as a high, low or bandpass filter....

The really cool thing about a snapins is that every control can be modulated by PP (or the modulators in the snap heap etc)

Anyone know if its possible to modulate just the 'cents' of an oscillator pitch? Seems to modulate the semi and even with the smallest amount its way too much for just slight drift?

If you right click the modulation, you can type in the value. And modulating only 0.02 of the pitch is essentially modulating the "cents"...

Cheers- I gave that a go and it seems to work by ear but the values don't seem to show if it's less than 1%

LFO's and Envelopes have this slider on the right side, to adjust the range.
So to achieve a slight drift i would modulate the pitch with a LFO, and make the range smaller with the slider in the LFO itself.

Cheers- I was doing that as well (depth) but it seemed a bit strange to me that 'semi' and 'cents' don't have separate modulators as all of the others synths I use do (Rapid, Serum, Falcon etc)
