Hey, Thank you for starting this thread. I have the exact same problem that you had. When I reached out to waves customer support just told me to uninstall and reinstall... which obviously does not work... do you still have the email to the rep that assisted you by chance? If you do can you help a brother out please? I have that $$$ plugin just sitting there and I cant even use it...Thank you!Ah_Dziz wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:57 pm Yeah. Waves hooked it up. The original release worked fine from the get go. I tried to update for MIDI out and it started crashing. Then my man at Waves worked some magic and everything is great. I think they may be killing some of the win 7 stuff on purpose. I dunno. I’ll do an upgrade once I find out what the hell NI is doing. Then it won’t matter. But as vst3 everything worked in v11. In Bitwig 1 and some vst2 only stuff I have, it was a bit crashy. I think it was something with the sand boxing and the graphics.
Yeah I’m good though.

I’ll dig up the email and pm you the guy’s email. I just asked him to give me a link to the original release version, but he sent me some in between version.

Gotta love thats tech support at Waves, they're pretty rocking. I've heard of a very small number of people having issues with them, I don't know why, it doesn't seem to be the consensus.
Hell, they've even managed to find a way to stay online through this whole virus crisis thing.

Similar issue but with Windows 8. Worked fine when i bought it, then went to upgrade it for the midi and now it hasnsn't shown up in Reaper since... along with the update of the F6 EQ which was working fine before. Just saw there was an update for Ovox so tried that as well as trying to download the v11 studio rack..... neither show up. Uninstalled all v10, and v11 plugins, repaired, deleted cache in the wanes central software, not sure what else to do.

I wish I knew Reaper enough to be helpful with something like this. The best I can do really is to suggest Waves Tech Support. They’re usually quite timely and can help you out with all sorts of issues, such as this. But maybe hit up their knowledgebase first.tregist wrote: Sun May 31, 2020 12:39 pm Similar issue but with Windows 8. Bro could you please help me out, to get it to work? The waves guys told me they couldn't help me?!Ah_Dziz wrote: Sun May 03, 2020 6:14 pmThe original release version had no issues on my system and it was w10 only. The update was what screwed things up. I asked the support guy for an installer for the original version, and he sent me an offline installer that was for a version that worked on w7 and also had midi out. He was super cool about it. I thought I was just getting the original release version again. It turned out that I got a one off update version. I would suggest speaking with support. They are very helpful.

I dunno what to tell you. They sent me an installer and it worked. I can get you the exact build number. I didn’t do anything but install what they sent me. PM me and I’ll send you the info when I’m in the studio. Then you could see if they can provide you with that.

Noam Yaron was the guy at support who helped me. I rolled everything back to v10 and only installed v11 of Ovox and some other things that didn’t exist in v10. The Ovox install was done with an offline installer.

This is a difficult problem to solve as Windows 7 is such an old OS now. Unfortunately modern plugins require access to modern architecture which is only introduced in later CPU’s, motherboards and systems in general. AVX, for example. These newer architectures are also only facilitated by newer OSes.
Unfortunately this is the way of new technology. If they designed it for older systems the CPU loads would just be too intensive to get anything done.
I’m sorry, this is not very helpful.
